AJ's American Grill — Restaurant in Florida

The first time we went we had a very poor experience where the food came out room temperature but decided to try again and it was amazing the food and the service and were impressed that there was a manager going around to each table and checking in on everything. We decided a third time since the last time was so good and we ordered take out that was incredibly abysmal. I knew something was off when I picked up the food because the e bag felt suspiciously light and we ordered heavy items. We ordered the cheesesteak where steak was so little and all fat and only filled on side of the roll -very sad sandwich. We had a side of fries were so little my bf and I could count each frie which is sad (we counted 8 fries btw). We also got a soup that was cold and was honestly obviously the bottom of the pot leftovers. I tried calling to see if there was something that could be done because I liked this place before and didn’t want to leave a bad review but the person who answered was pretty patronizing and didn’t seem to care. It was clear he was pretending to take down my number for “someone to call me back”. Needless to say from the last handful of times I have been there I have learned there are lots of restrictions when eating here if you want to have a decent meal and service-you must go and eat in person and you should only eat there if the manager is there to check each item as it...

AJs USED to be my mom Veronica’s “go to” restaurant for food and drinks. I’m not sure what’s happened bt lately the experiences here are HORRIBLE! We keep coming back, in hopes of a better experience bt it’s actually gotten WORSE every single time. Today was the last straw! After years of coming WEEKLY I’m sad to say we will not be returning. We usually always come in and order the Sirloin or Rib-eye Steak, with drinks. The food doesn’t taste like it used to. The drinks were disgusting! We ordered Long Island Iced Teas which tasted like pure Vodka, the lemon had brown patches, and was dried out. When I told our server about the drinks he was very apologetic and nice, but he said the bartender was new and didn’t really know to bartend they “just threw her there” makes senses why the drinks were horrible but that’s no excuse they should have someone with experience making the drinks and training her, the bartender even laughed about the whole situation, she was rude and carless at that point I had to tell our server that we wouldn’t be ordering dinner here tonight or any other night we’ll be going elsewhere from now on, AJs just isn’t what it used to be and we’re SO disappointed, as this used to be “a regular spot” for us to enjoy good food, good drink, and good service. We have been frequenting AJs for the past few months. The food is good, the portions ample, but the service is horrendous. All the servers are polite and respectful, but service was aganizingly slow. Last night I organized a party of 7. When we arrived the reserved table was waiting for us. Upon arriving, I requested the outdoor heater to be turned on. This took 4 more requests and the manager to accomplish this. A server came almost immediately to take our drink order and another half hour to take our food order. The food order was thoroughly confused. My wife ordered jumbolya with veggies instead of rice. No veggies. I ordered steak and teetar totters, I got broccoli. The steak was tough and over cooked. My friend ordered frajittas,the tortillas etc came 20 minutes before the steak and chicken arrived. He sent back the steak for being too tough. Several complained that the food was not hot. It took about 15 minutes before the entire table received its food. We kept apologizing to our friends for having recommending, what turned out to be a disastrous meal. We needed to call the manager several times and never were offered any compensation, as is typical in most establishments.
