Amore Mio Pizzería — Restaurant in Florida

As a frequenter of La Leggenda and O’ Munaciello, which are not only two of the best pizza places in Miami but arguably the country, I was pleased with (and admittedly pleasantly surprised at) the quality of Amore Mio pizza.

I ordered the Margherita Pizza, which was prepared and ready in 10 minutes. Size first surprised me — 14”, rather than the traditional 10” you see at sit-down restaurants. With the price of a pizza relatively comparable to that of a sit-down establishment, I appreciated the bump in size.

The crust was soft, airy, and bounced back to shape with a press of the edges but was charred appropriately from the wood-fired oven. I’m assuming they used 00 flour and fermented the dough for at least one day, as the dough wasn’t the least bit flat. The cheese tasted very fresh — DOP quality apparent. The tomato sauce was simple and to the point, as traditional Neapolitan sauce should be. The menu says San Marzano tomatoes, which means they stayed true to tradition. EVOO was drizzled over the pizza at exactly the right proportion — enough to accentuate the flavor of the basil leaves and sauce, but not overbearing so as to make it greasy.

If tradition is what you’re after, you aren’t going to find a better pizza in North Miami. This is top-notch restaurant quality Neapolitan pizza.

I’d be surprised if these guys don’t make the eventual hop from food truck to establishment, and I’m personally rooting for it to happen. Cheers to you guys hopefully planting your flag permanently in...

The Chef/Owner runs the truck by himself and after having a nice 10 min conversation we learned that he was trained in Napoli at one of the most reputable pizza spots there!

The dough was so light and airy the crust was perfect. And the toppings were fresh!

I’ve had a lot of pizza up north and down here and I have to say this is one of the best pizzas I’ve experienced here in Miami.

This style is true traditional Napolitano pizza and you can feel the care and attention to detail from proofing the dough to layering toppings this is well worth it!

The pizza is top notch, fresh and amazing dough. You can even just watch the magic happen as your pizza is created from the start.
