I recently came here with our friends and all of our small children. There was an upper level employee (manager? Owner? Unsure) sitting at one of the only two tables available. That meant we had to have our small children sit at bar style seating while they ate.
There were signs everywhere that made the environment very unwelcoming. For example: “any extra product is $0.50! (Bowls, lids, etc)” multiple signs saying to be patient A sign on the bathroom saying that delivery drivers are not allowed to use their restroom.
Speaking of, the bathroom is always locked and requires a key to use.
They didn’t let me use my coupon as it should be allowed. Stating that I could only get an acai or oatmeal bowl even though the coupon clearly states I could get one of those small bowls with the purchase of ANY regular sized bowl. The food is okay. Very comparable to when costco was making acai bowls. Plus they only let you get the bowl exactly as it comes. Any substitutions are an extra fee. Seems a little suspicious if everything is supposed to be fresh and healthy.
They were constantly staring at us and our children as if they were so bothered that we were there. One of the children bumped into the blinds and an employee immediately told her to stop playing with the blinds. Even though she wasn’t playing with them at all.
Upon leaving with our multiple toddlers into the rain, they yelled at us to shut the door. Apparently our toddlers don’t walk fast enough for them.
Will not be...
Read moreI went to my optometrist to drop off my glasses and noticed a brand new place to eat. There were many parking spots available so I chose to park at the sign indicating 5 minute limit with the restaurant's logo on it. Since the optometrist was two doors over I parked there to drop off my glasses and than order food to take home to my family. When I got out of my car and starting walking in the direction of the doctor's an associate from Bahia came out to speak with me. I told him I was just dropping off my glasses and would be right over. He told me that that specific parking spot was curbside pick-up only. I pointed out the two empty parking spots on each side of my car. At this point the owner came out and I kindly explained I was coming right over to order food. He insisted that I move my vehicle since this was curbside parking only and that he pays for that spot. He said "I don't know why you have to argue about this" to which I replied "you lost my business". I got in my car and moved over to the adjacent spot.
I figured an owner of a new franchise would understand customer service but it seems like I am wrong. This is the first time that I ever posted a negative review, and I could care less if the franchise offers free meals for a week, I will never step foot in...
Read moreI have been enjoying the menu for a few months now and never actually sat in your location to enjoy my meal. Today I decided to bring my friends to this location for a special treat after lunch. The franchise owner who was present was unwilling to let patrons use one of the only two tables available at this location; with only two chairs available and four bar stools, we stood eating our bowls. I am currently nine months pregnant, and he was extremely disrespectful to us while we were present at his franchise. Despite the fact we cleaned any mess and left everything as we found it. We did our best to take turns eating with what little seating was available. This is not a family friendly establishment, even though the workers behind the counter are extremely kind. Myself and my girlfriends left feeling horribly mistreated.
The doors to the bathrooms stayed locked to delivery drivers so be aware!!
Upon exiting the building he demanded we close the door faster while we exited into the rain, to which I replied, “Do not worry we won’t be back.”
I hope that the actions of this franchise do not reflect the values of your company. I hope other patrons do not face the same discrimination that we were...
