Update - 5/2/23 - it's been awhile since I've visited what was one of my favorites places to get breakfast. Let me start by saying that I am happy to see there is now an option for No Tip when paying.
My rating's for today's visit.
Customer service - 6.5/10 - definitely felt as though someone could have at least acknowledged my presence a bit sooner.
Food - Taste 8/10 - Temperature 5.5/10 - Wait times - 10/10. I received my sandwich within 3 minutes of ordering. Unfortunately, it was more room temp then hot. Still tasty though.
Sidenote - not sure why people are complaining about the egg tasting like it was cook in the microwave. There is nothing wrong with the way they cook their eggs.
Thereâs plenty of good to say about this place. The food is 10/10. I stop in at least once or twice a week to get breakfast. The service can be hit or miss depending on the day. Things were really rough in the beginning, but have definitely improved over time. Thereâs just one thing thatâs really been bugging me for some time nowâŚ.and thatâs being forced to tip every time I pay for my food in store. Iâve never seen this happen anywhere else. Now Iâm a big believer in tipping as I work in the service industry myself, but I believe it should be voluntary. You only have 4 options when paying. 10%-15%-10% and other. Iâve selected other and tried to input 0 and it wouldnât except that. Iâve recently been using the app to place my orders as a work around, but the app is not my preferred choice when ordering from here. I really hope to at least get the option not to tip should that be our choice.
Update: Thank you for responding so quickly. Can you please tell where the option for no tip is located on the pin pad? I have searched for this option several times and have had no luck. I will immediately remove this review if in fact this is something Iâve...
Read moreIf I could give service 0 stars I would. Iâll start off by saying their bagels are pretty good, but very bad and rude service (that goes for the owners too, especially the wife) ruins a decent to mediocrely good bagel. The many many many negative reviews left on here about the staff and customer service at this location are not lies. The rude woman normally at the register (like many others have said) is nasty and as the first face you see there, is a huge turnoff. The children they have working in the back are no better (including the owners own children). This establishment is NOT busy enough to just let these customers with bad experiences stop frequenting their establishment; especially since Starbucks opened up next door. I originally was not going to leave this review, but then I saw the TONS of other reviews mimicking snd sharing my bad experience, so I decided to. We have been going to this establishment since they opened, but will never go back. If they thought Starbucks hurt them wait till Einstein Bagels opens up on Bruce B DownsâŚthat will be the final nail in coffin that poor service and a bad attitude helped them lay in. âââ RESPONSE YO OWNER ââ- You get so many negative reviews you just copy and paste the same response to everybody? I am not an ex employee. I am an ex customer but by now based on your reviews, you should be used to that. Very poor of you guys to try to make other people reading the reviews think that all your negative reviews are from ex employees when theyâre not. I would think my original review would be specific enough where you wouldnât think it would be an employee, but I guess youâre thinking skills are as bad as your...
Read moreI have visited 3 times over the last two years. I was very disappointed the first time but gave it a second chance, and was disappointed again, but still decided to give a third and final try.
First off, the concept and idea is great as a northerner. Love the concept and idea actually, however anyone from New Jersey or New York knows even with a line out the door the service should be quick. Why? Because itâs about taking care of the customer. But thatâs not why Iâm not thrilled. The main reason is the food.
The bagels and âhard rollsâ are not authentic and have very poor taste. If you get one roasted itâll be half burnt and half undercooked. If you get a sandwich like the Jersey Boy with Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese, you will be very disappointed in the quality of the meat, the portion and size of the meat, and just the sandwich overall.
Any real NY or NJ deli will have at least a normal decent size of meat on the sandwich, not a paper thin piece folded over to make it look like 3 pieces. This has happened on every visit. $8.00 for a breakfast sandwich is crazy but if it had a decent amount of meat I wouldnât mind. Guys, more egg than meat is just crazy. I canât even taste the meat. So for fun I pulled the stamp size of meat off the sandwich and tasted it and it was bland. Not sure what brand you are using but itâs not being cooked right if it is quality.
Guys you can do better. I donât normally post reviews but after having 3 disappointing experiences it needed to be said. Service is very robotic and no customer service.
Also can you at least cut the sandwich ALL THE...
