We visited Celebration Park during a trip to Naples at the recommendation of another traveler. Long-term parking is across the street...it took a few minutes, but not horrible on a Wednesday evening. There was a good selection of cuisines/trucks. We ordered from 3 different trucks. We were able to find some gluten-free, dairy-free options. Based on my daughter's reaction the next day, there was probably some dairy cross-contamination.
The main reason for my poor rating is that the food was disgusting from all 3 trucks. The ribs were over seasoned and when my husband asked for additional sauce (to cover the seasoning salt taste) they reluctantly gave it, lecturing him on how they only give one sauce typically. Perhaps if it tasted better then we wouldn't need so much sauce. The Venezuelan truck was..Meh. The meat, rice and beans were salty. The single piece of avocado and plantain didn't seem all that fresh. The small arepa that came with it was the only thing that I would try again. The 3rd place was the worse. Flavorless overpriced snapper bowl had what tasted like days old rice (like on the verge of spoiling). Although this was advertised as a "quinoa blend" there was hardly any quinoa...just that old, flavorless rice. No one in our group would eat it...and we LOVE rice. The blackened snapper, blackened grouper and lobster melt all lacked flavor. They rely heavily on the sauces to make up for the lack of flavor. The mango chutney was so sweet with no real mango. That was the worse truck in my opinion it was closest to the bar on the right.
I would pass on this park the next time I'm in town. Cute idea, but the food has to be better, especially paying those prices. We paid $25‐30 per meal. That does not include the watered down drinks we had ($15 each for cocktails). Entertainment was average. It's a hard...
Read moreI have mix feelings and of course i'll tell you why!
Rick's Taco Cartel had really good grouper tacos but the young lady taking my order seemed pretty displeased to be working; could've been a rough/off day - which i totally get - but in a customer service forward industry, sometimes you gotta put away your unhappy feelings to make sure the guests experience is a positive one? I also understand it's a food truck so maybe service is not the primary focus... but dang.
At the ONC or OCN Seafood truck i was met with worst glares! Whoa. They definitely looked annoyed that i was even ordering food in the first place. I got the lobster roll - which was pretty good - but holy cow it was MUCH smaller than i had expected. I'm not afraid to drop major cash on deliciousness, but i also expect it to meet all expectations -- it did not. Would i drop another 30+ bucks on it again? Nah.
So, overall, vibe was fine, entrance was great, staff attitude definitely needs adjustments, and food could be a little bit cheaper (in my humble opinion). Overall, i spent over $50 on two tacos and a sandwich. Seems like i could've spent that in a nicer cooler - A/C restaurant and would've gotten better service.
Would i come back? I'll like to visit other places before i would wander back. Friends in town? Probably show them...
Read moreWe stopped by to check out Celebration Park. Not much was going on (around lunchtime on a Sunday). There are a lot of food trucks to choose from - all of which looked clean and taken care of. The prices are "restaurant prices" - what you would expect from a sit down restaurant when waiters/waitresses wait on you. In my opinion the prices were too high for food truck food. The menus looked amazing (gourmet food trucks) so the high prices are for fancy dishes with Naples' price point. The location is nice - the bar is by the water with a beautiful view. The big parking lot is across the street. The venue is nice, clean, decorated nicely, and open-air dining at its best. They have live music sometimes but none the day we were there. I recommend visiting Celebration Park - hopefully they grow and continue to have fun activities for the community. There is access to Celebration Park by water - I saw several boats stop and dock near the back bar area. Celebration Park is open for adults, children, and pets on leashes. In my opinion it is geared more towards adults with their food and beverage selections. Come out and check it out - just know ahead of time that you will be paying top dollar (not your average state fair food trucks). It is a food truck culinary experience with many ethnic...
