China Sun Chinese Restaurant New York Style — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

This place was ok but I went there yesterday and seen some health concerns. I won't be eating here again. I ordered a rib tip lunch with French fries instead of rice cause there rice has always been bland and nasty. So I noticed they removed the meat from the fries after they packaged it I asked the guy why he said cause they put the wrong sauce and had to was the meat. I watched the whole process and it was very disgusting. The guy told me don't worry it will still taste ok. Well actually he was wrong the sauce flavor was not very strong so the meat tasted kinda bland and also double cooking the meat made it overcooked and I couldn't eat it. I noticed they placed the burnt meat down so I wouldn't notice it at first. I told the guy what happened it was never this bad he said I know we suck. Not a sorry we can remake it or nothing just I know we suck. I hope someone call the health department on them. Washing cooked meat to recook it can not be good much less what I seen them do with the pan they cooked my food in. I would stay away from this place at all costs there is so many Chinese restaurants around no one should chance eating here and getting sick. I’ve ordered Chinese and other Asian food before, but this was my first time going by myself without a friend who usually helps me order. After I got my food, I realized I had forgotten to ask for napkins, so I went back inside to get some.

When I asked, the staff member didn’t speak English very well and said something about “other” or “wrong,” which left me confused. Another staff member then spoke to another girl and said, “It’s okay, I’ll make you a new one,” but they didn’t explain anything to me. I asked multiple times if my order was correct, but no one answered me, which made me feel ignored and invisible.

When I finally got what I needed, I just said thank you and left. I know there was a language barrier, and I also didn’t check my order carefully, so I take responsibility for that.

The food that was given to me by mistake ended up in the trash because my pregnant friend doesn’t like it. They could have simply asked me, and I could have returned it from the car, instead of feeling awkward standing there.

I've been a regular for months, normally the food is good, however, today when my food arrived, the sauce cups were only half full & some of the food tasted very bitter & sour, there was something very off about it. I called to say I wasn't happy with some of the food & after offering to replace it, they changed their mind & said the driver is too busy to deal with it so they won't! I asked for a refund & they said I can only get a refund if I return the food to them which they will then throw in the garbage! I already paid extra for delivery + tip & they want me to return the inedible food I paid for or suck it up? After explaining that I can't make the journey myself, hence paying extra for delivery, they verbally shrugged their shoulders. I've never been so disgraced by a food establishment. This long time customer will not be returning. I have made steps now to contact the local health department of food hygiene after this because that food was - it was just off.
