Stopped in for lunch with my daughter we were both hungry and killing time before our movie date. Upon entering the staff was friendly and immediately greeted. The manager was wearing this white zip up sweater /hoodie with a blue and white patterned dress or skirt. I myself have never managed wearing a skirt/dress nor was my staff able too. One it is not sanitary or professional. Maybe here things are more laid back. The restaurant had this weird smell like old wet carpet or a sewer issue, a bit off putting. I have worked and general manager(ed) several restaurants in NY, so customer service, food, ambiance, presentation are always main focus when dining in. The food came, my daughter Mac and cheese was clearly Velveeta she took a couple bites she didn't like it, the grapes were clearly spoiled they had a awful smell and discolored, a child could see and smell they were bad. As it came to the table and set down in front of my daughter, she said mommy the grapes smell they are rotting. Unbelievable that the server didn't smell that while plating it or walking the meal to the table. It was bought to her attention and I swapped it out for fries. The server seemed to be in her own world physically she was present but mentally she was somewhere else. Clearly she had a lot on her mind. My daughter is a foodie like me and she was so unimpressed with the food, ( we bagged her left overs and discarded it when we got home) . I had the shrimp scampi, was not the greatest scampi it was okay. The tastiest thing they had was their chocolate cake. Overall, entire meal not worth the price. Was not good money spent in any sense of the statement. Will not revisit this establishment or recommend it. Very disappointing, franchises should always have consistency across the board and this location...
Read moreGiving the benefit of the doubt here, with 3 stars. Our servers were attentive. They didn’t know what a Negroni was and when told they couldn’t make it. They didn’t have the ingredients. The soup and salad were good, fresh. Breadsticks were hot. My ravioli were stuffed with mozzarella and not the ricotta that is traditional. I don’t think they make them there so that is probably a supplier issue. I can tell you that when I have had ravioli in the past it was made with ricotta, even at the Olive Garden. Also, the price on that item has increased as has everything else, which is expected. But when you raise the price and skimp on ingredients that is sad. That is more on corporate. They took that meal off our tab. An older gentleman behind us was violently ill. To the wonderful server( not ours) who stood with him and helped him. My dear you are an angel and I hope you are rewarded. We asked management to call an ambulance as not only was he violently I’ll, but he was grey. I’m not sure if they called one or not or if they even can do that if the individual refuses (not sure if he did). An ambulance had not arrived by the time we left. We have been praying for this man and his wife and family and we hope he got the care he deserved. I just know if he was my father I hope someone would call an ambulance. It was not by any means the relaxing night out we were hoping for, but at least we...
Read moreI tried a variety of food throughout my times of going to Olive Garden, PC. They have a good selection of drinks as well as alcoholic, fruity drinks. Their overall impression is to serve delicious food with a good, friendly heart. Some of their wait staff are careless with their interactions, but others that I have seen are remarkable.
Around 9PM last night, I had a bite to eat. Olive Gardens restrooms were clean; their rugs were unspotted, tables spotless. A warm, cozy glow filled the restaurant as well as silence.
Of all the times to reviewing this restaurant in the past, the encounters went well except for last night.
I must say it is a good thing I wasn't doing a review this time around because I had a careless waitress who spilled hot marinara sauce on me, didn't genuinely apologize, nor report their incident.
Thankfully, the burn isn't too bad. It is the morning of last night's accident, and my hand has swollen a smidge, but it'll go down.
Just remember, if a disaster ever occurs and you don't see a manager come to speak with your table - it means your waiter or waitress never reported their accident. If you want to talk to their manager, do not be shy.
I never reported nor spoke to the manager of my waitress spilling food sauce on me, because my hand only slightly stung. One thing is for sure, if I ever have her again, I will ask for another server.
