Had a better shopping experience today than in the past. I've walked out of that location due to long checkout lines and few cashier lanes open. Customer service is not TJ Max's priority. In January I purchased a nice $200 table there so I opened a new TJ Max credit card to receive the 15% discount on my new table. I returned several times to this location and the lines were so long and very few check out lanes open, I walked out both times leaving my full shopping cart behind. The last time I left without purchasing my basket of items due to the long wait in lines, I went home and closed out my TJ Max credit card, refusing to return back to their store. Well I went back to this location and got in line with my items I wanted to purchase, with only 2 lanes open, because one cashier was not calling customers up to her lane (working on something at her station rather than taking customers in line, then walked she away). Her light was on but nobody was home, lol. By this time 8 people were lined up behind me. I was next in line. When I got up to check out, I told the cashier my past dilemma there, told her about closing my credit card down issue, and thanked her for being quick to check me out. Of course she wanted me to open up another credit card but I refused. But had If I had arrived to the line of 8 people waiting with only 3 cashiers open, I would have walked out again and really NEVER HAVE SHOPPED THERE EVER AGAIN! I like the discounts and savings at TJ Max but refused to waste my retirement waiting in your long...
Read moreThis store has some really, really cute things for the home. I mostly buy home decor, beauty items and kitchen things here. I shop here about 1-2 times a week. When I 1st moved here, I used to spend money on clothing at Tj Maxx until I finally visited a very similar store just a few doors down from Tj Maxx that had very similar clothing for a far less price. Now, I never buy clothes here because the prices are too high for my liking but I do prefer their home goods over the other store. The very small area in this store that they call the "Clearance" area does not even come close to anything that resembles a "Clearance" price, though. They might possibly get away with saying that those hideous items are "On sale" but calling those very high priced items "Clearance" is definitely not what one would expect to pay and I don't think that many would even want those particular "Clearance" items anyway. Perhaps they should just do away with that so called "Clearance" area. Very friendly staff and lovely home items are what keep me...
Read moreAna, at the jewelry counter, is a racist. Been waiting for a necklace and bracelet set to arrive in stock and visited the store every few days to check. Walked into the store and immediately to the counter. Ana looked at me and walked from behind the counter. Let it slide because I wasn't seeing the set. Walked to the back of the counter sniffed a few perfumes and looked at the clearance jewelry. Ana was still not back. Saw the set in the clearance section and waited. Ana comes back and another white lady walks up and she helps her. Then the lady comes to the section I'm standing in and requests the bracelet I'm waiting for. I said I'm waiting for that bracelet and Ana proceeds to wrap it up for the customer. Store manager, Dora, asks if I'm being helped and I said no and explained the situation. No help there! Definitely giving corporate a call...
