I’ve tried with this place. Believe me. But it’s a hit or miss. Today was a huge Miss !! And I plan not to return.
First their service is always greeted with poor attitude. Be a lil nicer. People come to you for a decent bagel. The place was busy. And I should have turned away knowing it would be a while. I was passed over with my order because the guy behind me was taller. Mistake 1 .
I ordered an egg salad, on a toasted multigrain with bacon. Oh and a little butter to moisten the bread. I knew the guy taking my order was already distracted. After I placed my order, I moved up to the register area. People coming in behind me were already getting their order and I’m still waiting 15 minutes.
A woman comes to the register and tells me $11. 22. I said excuse me?? I only ordered 1 bagel. She said yea? 11.22 !! Mistake 2.
I should have said never mind. I asked how could an egg sandwich with cheese and pastrami cost 6.95 ??? But egg-salad w /bacon was $11?? But I was hungry.
8 min later I’m handed an ugly bag. That feels very clumsy. I should have opened it in the store but I walked out. Walking out, I said egg-salad is not expensive to make.
I got on no my car opened my bag to this catastrophe of a sandwich. And the bagel was hardly toasted and a pile of cold bacon.
Corey’s get your act together. You’re definitely not going to be my bagel...
Read moreAs I get reacquainted with my home after many years in CO, I’m really enjoying (maybe a little too much) hitting all the small local casual eating spots, especially when combined with a nice bike ride. The ride also helps to ease the guilt of and justify the indulgence a little more. 😁 Today I was craving a simple toasted bagel with butter, so I went to Corey’s. I had read that their bagels/sandwiches were really good, but their friendliness was lacking, if not often rude. That held me off for a while. I’m one of these never met a stranger type of people, and l gotta admit, can be a little sensitive and take it a bit too personally if everyone I meet isn’t super friendly. 😆 A bagel is definitely a treat food for me, so I was hoping the bagel would be worth the indulgence, and Ihad prepared myself for just accepting the customer service probably wasn’t going to be all rainbows & sunshine. Well, not only was my toasted buttered pumpernickel bagel just perfect, but my experience was that the two people, a man & a woman, working there today couldn’t have been any more genuinely friendly! I loved the laid back down to earth feel of the place, staff, and customers. Oh, and they have liverwurst! 😋😋And that lox & blue crab cream cheese bagel sounds amazing! I’ll definitely be back sooner than I should, but I’ll just be sure to take the...
Read moreRude staff; they don't care about customer service and act as though they are doing you a favor by serving food. We placed our order in all the chaos. The male staff repeated back the order (important). We then watched another male staff touching bagels without gloves - gross. We patently waited as people all around us received orders and were given nasty attitude from male staff repeatedly. No organization in ordering/pickup system. Our sandwiches were slammed in the bag, male staff did not ask what we ordered because he took the order and we were asked and I quote "want drinks?" with attitude. At this point you couldn't pay me to order anything else. I said "no" and the rude male staff said "good!" - gave total which was a bit higher than expected for my simple order of a bagel with sausage only and my husband's bagel sandwich. Okay, in this economy everything is pricey. I put the card in, didn't tip and turned to leave. Male staff "need a signature" loudly and annoyed. Husband signed. I opened the long awaited bag and my sandwhich is WRONG. Put egg and cheese on my sandwich which I can't eat. Thank you for wasting my time and money. Save your money,...
