11/03/2023 Let me start off by saying I have been coming to this restaurant for over 7 years an tonight really pissed me off .. 1st off for $18.oo person and the food was trash so please allow me to tell u y. I got the fried shrimp with the heads on it was not crispy in fact it was soggy and cold then I had a spring roll it was crispy but it tasted like the freezer and mushy on the inside an cold.. Then I had the sweet and spicy chicken wings bone in and it tasted like 3 day old chicken and it to was cold then I had fried blue crab that too was old and cold and how I know it was old the part of the big Claw with pitchers the meat was all dried up and wireie then we had crabragone it to wasn't crispy and cold now this made my 11 year old son vomited so with all the bad food I told our waitress and she then lied gone tell me all the food is fresh I told her no its not and for $18.00 person I expect fresh hot food she then go on to tell me Togo up to the front and tell the manager I told her oh no u tell ur manager I said for her to come here so I can tell her what all is wrong with what foods so finally the manager came over I told her about the old food and cold food she offered to warm up the food of our choice our two choices was the head on shrimp and the general tos chicken so out of all the food items listed my son and I only ate general tos chicken and fried shrimp heads on and I was soo pissed I got a cup of wine cherry plum wine that one glass was $5.13 ... Let me also add this she the manager didn't offer me not one discount seeing that the food was old and cold and out of all the items on the buffet my son and I did not have the luxury of going back forth getting different items due to the fact 5 items we did try it was old and cold ...I won't even use no one else money to eat here my dinner was ruined my expenses was ruined and not to mention I came across town just to eat and was highly disappointed and my son got sick trying to eat out my bill was $42.00+$5.13= $47.13 and let me say this charging $18.00 per person is not worth it not even a little bit and then after all the disappointment all the way around not to be offered a discount for some nasty old soggy and then cold food and yes my 800 Facebook followers will know about this. I'm sooo pissed for wasting my money and my...
Read moreI've been going to this place for years if not nearly a decade pre-covid and for years it's been great. It was the best Chinese Buffet in the city. But today, I have to rate based on my current observations. My party of 6 and I came here on a very busy Sunday night. It was packed with people, but we were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. That's the good part. The food was edible, but I can tell you, it did not pass the Chinese pawpaw (grandma) test. I was mortified to watch her face as she bit into her choices. The softeshell crab (My favorite in the past) was not fresh (had a weird taste when you bit into it) and the shrimp with head was NOT fresh before cooking either. It's terrible to disappoint a Chinese grandma. The atmosphere was super chaotic and crowded. My guest from out of town noticed children grabbing jello out of the buffet with their bare hands. None of the service people noticed as they were too busy either filling food or taking away dirty plates. When I witnessed for myself, the same thing several times, I couldn't believe it!!! No adult supervision with these kids and NO ONE to tell them to STOP USING THEIR HANDS TO GRAB THE JELLO. 🤢🤮 omg. And on several occasions. Servers were there less than 20 feet away. I finally said something in Chinese to the server (take plates away-er) she spoke back to me like I was crazy until I repeated it, and she went looking for the kids. I'm just floored. Idk if i can ever come back here on the weekends. Maybe for lunch when school is in session, and i just can't decide and want variety. The sushi station was decent but typical Chinese buffet sushi, nothing exotic-same roll, 8 ways. . I witnessed a guy pile high his entire plate with nearly all the salmon sashimi (RUDE!!) but it was fresh, so, good for him, I guess. There is a hibachi and a pho station also. They had doh jeurng (hot sweet soy milk), though watered down, was still nice. The appreciated the store bought bbq roast pork buns. Not everything was bad , but the place was a zoo, the food was mediocrity (5.5/10 for the $$) and it surely didn't pass the Chinese Grandma test. If you want to eat and just be disgusting, don't bring her or your parents or your boss or go for anything celebratory. You will be sad and...
Read moreUpdated review: Returned for Sat lunch for 18.99, no drink. Couple of notable added items were fried frog legs, seafood delight, a different whole fish. Seemed too be much more squid and shrimp in the seafood soup this time. Had a cup before and after meal, so yummy. My previous lunch here pooped out nicely early in morning. If food was bad, then body would get rid of it hours later in a nasty way. Maybe also because I ate a higher ratio of veggies/fruit to meats/fried stuff. Thanks folks for crazy cooked meal!! :)
Ate weekday lunch buffet for 11.99, drink not included, pay first before eating. Cashier handles your card. No self service card machine, though she did use the contactless Tap card feature. Huge dining area, plenty of parking. Lots of various foods: meats, veggies, sushi, fruits, desserts, scoop your own ice cream from big tubs. Soft serve machine or sealed cups of ice cream would be better. Take a bit to taste, as you might not like it, and end up wasting food. For example, beef w/broccoli, beef looked good, but was way too soft. Chicken had proper texture. Tasted a bit of Italian style ground beef with pasta, not bad. Two ladies efficiently worked the food stations, promptly refilling as needed. There was pizza, two different fishes, small clams in shell. Seafood soup was good, and hot temperature, styrofoam container for soups. Plastic 3-sectional plates, plastic fork/spoon/napkin packet, plastic gloves to wear while handling tongs, water in syrofoam cup with lid. I took home my cup and empty soup container, will bring to Publix for recycling. Servers on point clearing plates, brought hard candy at end. Place has nice decor, lights bit dim, music not too loud. Very busy this Wed 11am, noon hour. Worth a try folks, and I probably will return to try...
