I bit into the trend. Been seeing people go in and out of this place constantly and waited until my day off to try them.
I think I picked a bad week because they change flavors weekly (I'm told) and none of these appealed to me... but... I wanted to try them anyway, so I picked four cookies.
Chocolate Potato Chip: this was my favorite of the flavors. It was served warm and the chocolate was melty and gooey, so it went nicely with the pretzel bits (not potato chips) on top. They should've called it Chocolate Pretzel chip but anyway.
Dulce De Leche: this one tasted like carrot cake which is not my favorite cake by any means but the cookie was decent. The icing was tasty and swirled very neatly on top so the aesthetics were top notch.
Kentucky Butter Cake: this one tasted like a plain old sugar cookie. Nothing special and it had the texture of an under baked cake. Not a fan.
Chilled Sugar Cookie: I got this one just because I didn't want a plain vanilla or chocolate chip cookie. (why pay $12 for something you can get anywhere, right?) This one crumbled too much. Like sand. Lacked flavor except for just sweetness. Not impressed.
Overall; the cookies are a bit over-priced and the store seems like a passing trend. The staff were like busy bees throughout the store though. You can watch them mixing, measuring, baking and icing so that was fun.
One thing that bothered me was the large number of flies inside this location. With all the ingredients in the open while everyone worked, I was just waiting on one to land on a cookie being iced or in the large bowl of cracked eggs waiting to be incorporated into batter. I actually watched two flies fight each other, one on either side of the glass partition, while I waited in line. I should've left immediately but I wanted to investigate the hype.
Final thoughts: can take it or leave it. Probably won't...
Read moreOk, so I heard this place was soooo good because of tic tok so my family and I decided we would try them out. The line was crazy and we waited like 30 or 40 min before we could go inside. We get in and its was cooler outside than inside. Granted I get it, its a bakery and they have ovens going but your customer area should be cool especially if you have been waiting outside in the sun for as long as you have to.
Now, we before we get to the register to order we see they are sold out of just about everything but they say they had more coming. To me that means you should be able to order what they have coming but NOOOOO. Instead, you have to go back to the end of the line. So basically by the time you go back to the end of the line and make it back to the front of the line there is a pretty good chance they will be sold out of what you want again, that's just not cool at all.
The cookie itself is not even all that good. It had no taste and was really salty. All they had at the time was chocolate chip and to be completely honest, you can bake better cookies at home. 3 bucks a piece for a bland salty cookie that I had to wait for almost a hour for to me just isn't worth it.
If you like waiting and praying that you can get what you want and you also like bland salty cookies then go for it!! Me ill make my own and eat as many as I want for way less money...
Read moreI’ve got nothing negative to say about the cookies, but I had a very unpleasant experience trying to order delivery from this place. After ordering, I received a notice from the door dash driver that the order was cancelled. When I called the Crumbl Cookies store, they assured me that they would get a new driver. Three hours later and they still hadn’t delivered them. Six hours later and still nothing. Finally my girlfriend went over there to pick them up in person, and the order wasn’t ready. Furthermore, I tried to call several times and after waiting on hold for 45 mins, no one ever answered. I texted the customer support number and they said that it was up to me to figure out how to get the cookies, since the DoorDash driver had cancelled. Finally, no offer was ever made to refund the delivery fee, even though we picked up the cookies in person. Cookies were good though! Just a bad experience with the ordering process and the...
