My girls like the crumbl cookies, so one of them applied the job at the end of the senior year and has been working for this store since April. Many times she was called at the last minute to come to help the shift due to various reasons; but serveral times right after she got there, she was told by the General Manager Mary that the business was not doing good, the work was cancelled, and she had to let whoever got there last go home. I was told this happened not only to my daughter but to other workers there. I understand these days the small business is not easy. So are those hourly-pay young adults in the high inflation era!! As this was my daughter's first food-drink industry job, she is grateful and always tries to help the store whenever she could. We felt pretty frustrated when arriving&canceling repeated from time to time, and tried to talk to the store manager. But my daughter stopped us, because she was afraid of losing the job before she goes to college... Well, this is her last week to work before she's leaving for college next week, but it happened again in the past weekend. Right after she received the call asking for help, we changed the weekend plan, accommodated our schedule, dropped her off at the store, and moved to other tasks, then received the call for a pickup. I talked to the shift manager on the phone, who appologized for the inconvenience and said to pass my number to the general manager. This morning I finally reached out to Mary and expressed our concern. She, first, coldly emphasized how much her business expense is and how impossible to predict the traffic of the business, then blamed that my daughter was the one taking the work, so unfortunately the let-go decision had to go to her! She sounded so RIGHT without any mercy or any sorry, and refused to listen to other's thoughts!... Seriously? This is what the part-time/temporary workers/employees deserve?? After I suggested we should respect each other's time better, Mary told me "YOUR DAUGHTER'S JOB WAS TERMINATED!", then disconnected my call! Now I understand my daughter's fear!! However, I still wish this store could treat its workers better and keep them as possible as it can! Employees are asset to the business... BTW, my daughter is also working for another store named Hi-Tea in the same plaza. She is very happy working there without any FEAR, and also has made friends with the owner and...
Read moreWould have been quicker to drive to Lake Mary to find out that half the cookies that were on the menu this week were not available. Not sure what took longer, the build out of the store or getting my first order. Poor preparation for this "grand" opening. I like the product but the place was total chaos. Hope they figure things out here. Not confident they will after today.
Update : Tried this location for a 2nd time today. Strike number 2 today. If I could change my review to a negative star I would. The only reason I will EVER consider going back here is because my wife likes the cookies. There is nothing else redeeming I can say about this experience. Today I got to the store and NONE of the advertised cookies were available to order from the computer screen. I asked if that was true and the store employee, Dylan, was very rude and she would speak to me in a minute. There were 8-10 people that could have given me a yes or no but no one made any effort to provide any customer service. If there are no cookies there and no one willing to answer a question, who is running this place? We were excited to see that this location would be opening near us but this has been nothing but a HUGE disappointment so far. We had just finished a fun day at the ball park and were looking to celebrate a big win with some cookies. We won't look to Crumbl for that in the future. Publix has a good bakery and they understand what customer service is. Update #3. I thought whomever was running this location would figure things out. They haven't. Can't get a simple order out. Right now I am 20 minutes in to waiting for an order with no one able to tell me anything about it. Trying to get a refund now and can't even get this. At this point I blame myself for trying again. What HORRIBLE customer service. P.S. Crumbl customer support, a free cookie isn't what people want. They don't want to be treated like this. You emailed me to ask me what my email address is so you could send...
Read moreWhile these cookies are good, the entire process of getting cookies from here is absolutely NOT worth it and I won't be returning. I ordered cookies for pickup 45 minutes in advance, after waiting AN HOUR after my predetermined pickup window (nearly 2 hours after I ordered at this point) I was told 2 of the 6 cookies I ordered were out of stock and the replacement cookies would be another 15 minutes. Another hour later, still without cookies I finally went in to ask where my cookies were. I was then told ANOTHER cookie I ordered was out of stock. They did have the replacement cookie in stock so finally I left with half the cookies I ordered and half replacements. What is the point of taking my money for a product if you can't even fulfill your half of the agreement that I will get the product I purchased? Either there were no cookies of that flavor at the time I purchased them, or this business was selling the items I purchased to someone else, and made the decision to not restock that item. Both options are pretty unacceptable. Don't let people order cookies if you don't plan to make more, or don't sell a prepurchased item to someone else. These are cookies. In the over two hours I was waiting, they definitely had time to make another batch of the out of stock flavors (if they did that) and set aside an amount for the orders being pickup up in the next X minutes. I am not expecting some red carpet experience, I am just expecting a basic level of "receive the product I purchased" from an...
