Incompetent. After dealing with the district manager who was able to handle the complaint and refund - I am still leaving this review at 1 star.
The problem with this and other restaurants like this is that the Mobile App is designed by corporate and the stores are managed by franchisee's. So when the franchised location runs out of a product, they have no way of communicating this to the app (corporate). So, when a location is completely out of multiple products and you wont know till you show up, that's extremely disappointing. Its also a major disconnect in the corporate system that is in place. If Dairy Queen in general wants to improve its overall customer ratings, then they need to take feedback like this and improve. COVID forced companies to implement an online/mobile ordering system for as contactless as possible, but there is doing it right and screwing it up.

Also, the staff that is left at this location, doesn't seem to care too much about their jobs. The fact that the line was 15+ min to get to the speaker (3 cars in front of me), another 15+ min from speaker to window and then another 5 min to get acknowledged and then asked if I ordered the item they were out of to be told - "yea we don't have that and we also don't have this either".
Lastly if you are going to take payments on y our mobile app, not show correct inventory until you are at the pickup window - you need to give the store / franchise the ability to refund payments. Corporate DQ, you have failed your franchised...
Read moreSo I was deeply in the mood to have some ice cream and of course I thought to myself "where's the best place to get ice cream" and I immediately thought of DQ but I was utterly mistaken. When I went to order my food, in the drive through, the women taking my order was extremely rude and sarcastic but I just ignored it and gave her my order. As I pulled up to the window she gave me the ice cream but I can see right away that my order was incorrect so I asked politely if they could please fix it. The women asked me to please pull up because there is more orders she has to fill, which I understood completely. When the other worker returned with my "fixed" order it was wrong again. So of course I was a little upset cause I just don't understand how you can mess up an order multiple times. As my brother went to go talk to the manager she gave us attitude because she had to fix it again. When again the other worker came outside to give us our order the manager came outside and commented "that's the last, I'm not waiting another ice cream!" Which I thought was very unprofessional and just very disrespectful. Just because of this experience I will not be getting any type of food from their ever again. Also if I could give this zero...
Read moreI RARELY write a negative review. But I was compelled to this time at the lack of pride in service I experienced last night. I was looking forward to a blue misty slushy all day, a treat I’ve enjoyed since childhood. I also ordered 2 fish sandwiches & 2 sides. Besides some wilty lettuce, food was perfect. The blue misty on the other hand, was passed to me looking straight up white with dark blue syrup sitting on top. I’ve never seen a misty slushy look like this. Upon trying to insert the straw, syrup spilled all over me, my clothes & my car seat. Baffled, I told my husband to just drive away. I attempted to stir it up myself to no avail & made more of a mess. I was so upset, i had to throw away my drink. I’m writing this review because I am apalled at the lack of pride these workers have these days. When serving food or drinks, only the best should be served & the drive thru attendant (young girl with long brown hair in ponytail working on 11/4/23 around 10:45pm), should have seen this drink knowing damn well she shouldn’t have served it to us. She also rushed us through ordering and was generally not pleasant. Like girl, just quit if you don’t want to be there. Pathetic....
