I placed an online order on Tuesday, May 6th for Friday, the 9th. A relatively simple order of a dozen and a half of bagels and cream cheese for a morning meeting.
I scheduled the pick up time of 7:45 am. When I arrived in the restaurant, I noticed there were no bagels in the containers where they are usually displayed.
There was no staff at either cash register. I had to get someone's attention that was in back preparing an order.
When I told her that I was there for an online pick-up, she explained that they did not have enough bagels and had to 'find' some.
I then saw someone in the back pulling out bagels from a large clear bag that is used to store day old bakery items.
I watched and saw they were counting bagels for my order!
My order was received in a shopping bag. What was alarming was the fact that the bare bags were in the bag. They were not in any type of container. I inquired and was told that they no longer provide containers for bagels for online orders... only catered orders. Ridiculous! The bagels were dry and hard. I could have used them for frisbees. Love coming in there everyone is friendly when I come in I’ve been coming there for years so I always order the same thing for breakfast and they know exactly what I want and if my husband is with me then they know exactly what he wants. Read moreWe mainly come in because I love the Hazelnut coffee. Placed our order, went to fill our cups and the Hazelnut ran out. Waited for the cashier to finish ringing up a customer and asked if they had more. She went in the back room and was gone several minutes only to return and say they had to make more and it would be 5 minutes. This whole time there were 2 emploees standing in the food prep area doing nothing except leaning against the counter. Our toasted bagel order had been done and sitting on the counter getting cold this entire time. When I went to pick it up I asked if they could warm the bagels. The girl looked very upset for me asking for this. I waited for them to be warmed up and when she returned, I noticed that there wasn't any butter for my wife's bagel. She snapped at me and said that we didn't order butter. I told her to look at the printed receipt that clearly had butter listed in capital letters.
