Read moreWe’ve eaten once to go and once in the restaurant. The to go order was good. I really liked the cheesesteak. My husband likes the smash burger. The only hiccup with the to go was that I didn’t see a way to order the burger special for Monday. You have to order online and I didn’t see it so assumed it was dine in only. I didn’t realize the smash burger didn’t come with fries so it would be nice if the online ordering prompted you if you wanted a side. The pickup was smooth and everyone friendly.
In person dining was also a good experience. We tried the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks and they were good. I’ll try something else next time but they were good. My husband stuck with the smash burger and was happy. I ordered the Florida man platter and didn’t think it was very good. I didn’t like the breading and wondered if the fryer oil needed changed. We went on a Wednesday. The shrimp were overcooked and I wished the gator and grouper bites were separated by the shrimp so you knew what you were getting before eating. My husband doesn’t usually eat seafood and he tried one piece and said it had a bone. I also found a piece that I think had a bone inside. I thought the coleslaw was pretty good. The menu says the platter comes with corn on the cob but I didn’t get that. Our server was great and although at first I thought the Wednesday trivia was a little loud, we ended up playing along between each other. Third time going here and last two times just horrible. The truffle fries went way down hill. The orders used to be decent size, good, and definitely worth the 8$. Now the orders are stale, dry, and much smaller in portion size. It says shareable on the menu, but that's a flat out lie. The cheese steak was alright taste wise. The issue for me though was all bun no meat. With hardly any steak on the hoagie somehow the hoagie bun was soggy, greasy, and everything fell out the bottom. Don't know how since there was hardly anything inside the sandwich. The pretzel I can say is still the same good pretzel. I just don't understand why when I asked just for cheese sauce we only got one sauce cup. Leaving you to eat three quarters of the pretzel with nothing to dip it into. It's just absolutely disappointing to spend$ 40 on food and it turned out so bad. I don't know what has happened in that kitchen since December but my god please fix it. Whoever is cooking now and doing the portioning should be fired. The last two times I was there I haven't seen the one manager that seemed to check up on things and make sure everything was up to par. Wherever he went I wish he would come back.
