Bradenton Donut Shop — Restaurant in Florida

Don't let the looks of the shop fool you, these donuts are delicious. Be warned, however, these aren't the light and airy donuts from DD or Krispy. They are substantial - the box of a dozen donuts we bought had some heft to it.

The donuts are good tasting and do have some air to them, they push in and rebound when pressed on. They are excellent at soaking up coffee with minimal dripping. The next day they still felt fresh and had some spring to them - DD donuts tend to stiffen up later the same day - so they were still tasty and felt fresh -ish.

Donuts are good sized and filling felt evenly spread throughout the donut. Powdered sugar coating was not overly ambitious and stayed mostly in place. I hate it when you pick up a donut and your breath creates a mini snow squall on your shirt. :D

Years & years ago me and my dad would go there once in a blue moon. And drove past it for years. Keep thinking one day I should stop in for a Donut. Well I recently gotten a job at a local car dealership and one of my jobs are to pick up donuts for our customers that are waiting on service. So now on a day-to-day each morning I make my stop. After dropping off my grandbaby in Miami I REALLY WANTED DONUTS so after reading reviews from there to Bradenton(where I live), this place got picked and it was worth the wait and drive. NEVER knew what I had been missing. This place gives TURNER'S a run for their money. My mom LOVED the maple glazed donut.
