Totally Professional, An Extraordinary Dealership Experience. The way it used to be, The Dealership that “Leads By Example” The Bob Boast VW dealership is the best Volkswagen dealership I have experienced. Having service many times on our 2022 Volkswagen Atlas SEL 4 Motion Premium R-Line primarily in Sarasota FL, and several others across the USA while traveling, I honestly can say that there is no dealership that made me feel like I wasn’t just another customer, with another maintenance issue, that needed to be addressed or a regular maintenance item that needed to be completed, my experience was that of like being a family member, taking care of each other, it was sincere. The Bob Boast VW dealership in Bradenton, Florida, is far superior in the relationship building and caring departments, they are genuine, and honorable, such integrity, making our first visit to the dealership, extremely impressive, especially with the fact that we had to address an issue that happened at another VW dealership in Pensacola, Florida while doing routine maintenance with an oil change. The service department, along with the Service Director went way beyond and above the natural course of action to assist us with our unfortunate circumstances. There’s a saying I used to hear, walk the talk, walk the walk, and that’s what the Service Director, Steve Bertram did with our situation. He took the bull by the horns per se, and was able to work with corporate Volkswagen, in finding an acceptable solution to our situation. The service advisors, the mechanic, were all part of the solution because of the teamwork environment and professionalism amongst the team members themselves. I couldn’t be happier, I am finally relieved, and I have some glimmer of hope with regards to my service needs, and that our Volkswagen ownership experience will continue to improve from this point forward, because of the fact, that we will only be having our vehicle serviced in Bradenton, Florida at Bob Boast VW. In all the years I’ve own vehicles and I’ve owned a lot, whether service vehicles or personal vehicles, this dealership is literally the shining star of them all. They embraced the unforeseen challenge that was in front of them with their new customer and with our Volkswagen Atlas. It truly was about helping us, turning things around for the better, solving a problem, while making the outcome so much better. They truly made my, and our day better, because their interest was to help us, not just treat us like another customer that arrived at their dealership. I cannot say enough good and positivity about the dealership and about our first time experience with this dealership. I highly suggest, if you’re going to buy a Volkswagen product, to buy from Bob Boast VW in Bradenton, Florida 100%. Highly...
Read moreOur new 2023 Volkswagen ID4’s battery malfunctioned in less than 60 days of ownership. After dropping it off to our local VW dealer we were given a loaner vehicle and sent home. Our new 2023 VW ID4 sat at the Volkswagen dealer for three months until a special part was delivered via back order just to diagnose the issue. Once the issue was diagnosed a upper service team member, so to speak, came to help out the service department to fix the issue. After three months time we received a call to come and pick up the car.
The service department did not regularly inform us of the status of our new car. We had to call periodically and ask. We were given a loaner car, but unfortunately I could not drive it due to my post concussive syndrome disorder. I called and spoke to the service person in charge of our vehicle, Vivian, and informed her, but there was nothing that could be done I was told. We were however called and notified that the car had been scratched by an employee and would have to go to the autobody shop for repair which pushed back the return of the vehicle by another week.
Upon arriving to pick up our vehicle on August 16, we took a look around the car with Vivian to make sure everything was in order. Unfortunately we found a yellow stain on the leatherette in the back seat area was not there prior. After attempting to clean the stain, unfortunately it could not be removed. We notified the service department and were informed that a part to replace this issue was not on hand and would have to be ordered. They said they would keep in touch…. And were not given a date or time we would receive the replacement.
We understand that the issue was that Volkswagen did not have access to the instrument to diagnose our battery issue, and they were doing the best they could, but three months seems a bit ridiculous don’t you think? I feel there is a lot of room for improvement on Volkswagens side and could use this as a teaching moment for future...
Read moreWent in for a power window regulator repair on my 07 Eos. Was told it would take 2 hours. I came in at right when the service department opened. After waiting much longer than I was quoted the service guy said he’d go check on it. He came back and quoted that the mechanic said he was having some difficulty installing it and it would take longer than expected. Finally at 1:00 in the afternoon and being already 2 hours late for work, the mechanic comes in saying it’s done. I ask him what caused it to be more difficult to install, to which he replied it wasn’t, they didn’t tell me you were waiting here so I did other cars first. Irritated already, I paid essentially a whole paycheck for this repair, only to have an airbag fault singing noise and error light pop up as I’m driving to work, which was not there before. I called them and was told it was probably something simple that didn’t get properly reconnected. I came back in as soon as they could schedule me, waiting another hour and a half, only to be told it’s completely unrelated and it was a seatbelt error, despite my whole driver door panel being loose and detached. They then proceeded to print me out a massive list of alleged error codes from my car and tried to sell me on a bunch of other “repairs”. A few days later the other window regulator went out.
Based on all the conflicting info between the mechanic and service person, the near double amount of time it took to do the repair and their unwillingness to fix the airbag sensor that they damaged, I can only conclude they robbed parts from one regulator to fix the other, tried to convince me to spend more money on unnecessary repairs, and now I’m driving around not knowing if someone crashes into me if my airbag will even deploy now.
It’s clear that money comes before quality service and work here, and going forward I will avoid this dealership like the plague. I’ve never had such a horrid automotive...
