I have been going here every summer for at least ten years and I think I am finally done going. It’s reached the point where price exceeds quality. Gyros are good but it’s nothing you can’t get at any other place. Standard frozen cone meat heated up and put on a pita. $11.95 seems a little high compared to other local places. It doesn’t even come with fries at that price. The kids meal was ridiculous. $10 for three chicken fingers and fries. Again, frozen chicken heated up. I’m already tired of restaurants hiding behind the “costs are up excuse”. I know several people in the restaurant business who do say costs are up on some things maybe 3% but nothing they hike their prices up for. The staff is always hit or miss but today they seemed especially annoyed and rude not all but two in particular. Not sure why, they were fully staffed so they can’t hide behind the “we’re understaffed” excuse. I over heard the cook tell a waitress he didn’t want to serve the last of the grits because they weren’t any good to which she replied “they can deal with it” and took them any way. Wow.

We wanted to have some lunch. We stopped for gas at shell on the corner and noticed the diner next door but the gas station also had food - a pizza special 2 slices and a drink for 6.99 but we decided to go with Georgies Diner. It was about 2PM, a bit past lunch so it was pretty empty. It has ample parking and the look of a traditional diner, shiny outside and a counter top and nice inviting booths inside. Lots of plants growing outside. Lots of NY memorabilia on the inside. We both love reuben sandwiches so we each ordered one. Pasta salad as one side and fries with the other. The fries were seasoned and well portioned, so we shared them! We thought their fries to be one of the better tasting ones on our trip. The rye bread was thick and the sandwich was nicely made and tasted good. We were so stuffed even though we wanted to have dessert, we had no room but they sounded delicious! We would be happy to go back again next time we're in the area. Hopefully next time we can save room for dessert! Go check it out, lots of good things on the menu.

We went here for 2 meals. Good sized portions. My favorite part of my meal was the biscuits! I loved them, it's why we came back a second time! The sweet tea was not good, no it was terrible! We went on Saturday for brunch and our server was great we sat on the right side walking in. The girl who seated was weird toward us, we felt totally unwelcome. Almost left. The lamb was pretty good, so was the ham I had a couple days later. My husband enjoyed his fruit with corn beef hash and grits. The worst thing we experienced was the eggs I ordered with my ham, biscuit and grits. The eggs were BURNT and the cook tried to hide it and it was also an omelet when I ordered scrambled. I would return, but they need to work on some of their staff, brew (and sweeten) better tea, and the breakfast cook needs to learn proper egg cookery.

I gave it two stars, one because it was clean. The other because service was good. The low rating as far as the food goes they pushed the chicken wings certainly we weren't in any hurry. They were pink, they needed two more minutes. made me feel terrible it was all that Connie had to eat that day! Atmosphere, if I could have and giving it a lower score I would. Seeing as I was not there to or dine I never sat down I felt extremely threatened, it was a good 50 ft away there was a group, infantile tyrants one of them was giving me the fish eye, it made me extremely uncomfortable. As I noticed his eyes welded on me I mouthed, have you learned to read lips yet? Then followed by loss of qualified immunity for violating the Constitution atmosphere dumped on by a bunch of Jack boot leg thugs that sat in the back eyeballing me as if I were a criminal. on their way out I asked them, where the circus was,? There's no circus in town. I said oh I thought those were clown suits there must have been a circus in town. They weren't even intelligent to know enough to know that I insulted them until we got outside they were embarrassing there wasn't one of them over 25. all of them , getting into their huge SUVs with their certified drug sniffing canine that they solicit alerts by tapping on your car and throwing objects against it.why do they touch the back of your vehicle when they wake up like planting the center of marijuana oh I'm sorry all there torture devices only question I have is why are we militarizing we should be demilitarizing anyway my humble opinion apologies if I'm too far from wrong correct me if you will Thrill Me with Your acumen.I had thank you...
