Poor Customer Service - Location Specific:
I went in store today to return something I had received as a gift. I went to the customer service area to be told that the item was non refundable and nothing could be done. No supervisor was contacted and I left with the answer ānoā. No one suggested alternative options or a solution for the issue at hand.
I called the corporate customer service line and provided my receipt number and received the same response and no action taken to provide alternative solutions. I asked to have my call escalated and I was transferred to a supervisor at the corporate call center named āTheresaā. Theresa initially provided the same answer. That nothing can be done.
I had done some research while waiting to be connected on the phone. The receipt I had stated the item I received was non returnable, which I understand. However, nothing was mentioned anywhere in store, on the purchased item, or instructed by in store team members that the item was non refundable/returnable. This means, the only way to know the item canāt be returned, is to purchase it and see it printed on the receipt.
I explained this to Theresa on the phone and she told me it was posted in the electronics section (see attached photo - itās not posted.) Theresa then had me walk back to the customer service desk where the team lead āReneeā rushed her off the phone and told her it would be resolved. Once Theresa hung up, Renee told me she would exchange the item. I was not interested in an exchange so I kept my item.
The amount of work I had to do to receive any type of customer service and resolution was surprising for a company the size of target.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my "go to" Target in the area.... the employees are great, friendly and helpful... the self checkout area has 8 registers and during busy times usually had multiple employees helping and cleaning registers between customers. They also keep an associate by the front doors to sanitize carts and will offer any customer a mask who does not have one, as they are required in the store. They do offer delivery or curbside pickup for those who feel unable to comply.
During their remodel there was several days they couldn't have produce out and their main associate over there was super amazing! She would take a list from me and come back with everything, including some options to choose from... I just don't get that kind of friendly service at other retailers.... or most targets even.
They keep things well stocked, and always check inventory in their system and will bring items to the floor for me from the stockroom if needed. I'm not a fan of the vendor trying to sell me on...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePreviously, I loved this store. Now the staff couldnāt care less. Today I watched an associate walk out of the restrooms, when I saw the stalls I had to tell customer service. Why this woman didnāt do something is beyond me. A wet floor sign in a stall with feces covering the toilet and floor, š© on the soap dispenser in the main sink row, and sheās walking out smiling and laughing happily chatting with another clerk on the sales floor at a register. Never called anyone, just walked away like nothing was wrong. Disgusted is an understatement. I warned other customers as they walked in to avoid seeing it. What the actual **? As I walked out the carts are just EVERYWHERE like customers are ditching them before exiting and no one is cleaning up or organizing? When I mentioned the restroom to customer service, the girl just stared at me like she couldnāt figure out what to do with herself. Hire better, train better,...
