My family just visited this location Friday night about 20 mins before closing. I’d say our experience was awkward and uncomfortable at best.
We stood at the counter for the better part of 10 mins with 3 employees behind the counter who didn’t greet us or even attempt to take our orders. It’s also worth mentioning that there were no other customers in the store at this point, only the 4 of us.
After becoming frustrated one of my teenage sons began calling to one of the girls saying “ma’am, excuse me ma’am” at least 4 times before she finally acknowledged him and we asked if they could please take our order to which she responded yes and then continued with her back to us doing whatever she was doing but we began to give our order hoping someone would start making it.
During this time we observed another girl (with the pink ponytail) grabbing the bottom of a really filthy dust pan off the floor with her bare hands and emptying into a trash can she had sitting on the counter in front of where we were standing. She then proceeded to immediately walk over and start making ice cream without washing her hands. I asked if one of the other girls could please remake the ice cream she already handled and complete the rest of our order as we were all completely disgusted and put off by what we just saw.
The girl didn’t apologize and still didn’t wash her hands, she just hurried off to the back room and stayed back there for the rest of the time we were in the store. To be honest that was fine with us because her poor hygiene while handling food was gross and we just wanted to get our order and leave.
Most everyone did enjoy their ice cream and shakes after we left except for me unfortunately. I think the cookie dough had gone bad because it had a really bad taste to it so I just tossed it out.
It’s safe to say we...
Read moreOur family absolutely loves Cold Stone ice cream. We have only been there twice since the COVID-19 outbreak. The first time we went we tried to order online but were unsuccessful with any of our devices so we called ahead and placed our order. Pick up was easy, though we did have to pay with credit card once we got there since they didn’t take it over the phone. We decided to get cold stone again and tried yet again to place our order online and were unsuccessful again on multiple devices including our home computer. We tried to phone our order in but the line seemed to either be busy or out of service. When we got to the store there was hardly anyone there. No employees were wearing masks or gloves, which was to our surprise. We were a little disappointed that they weren’t taking more precautions for sanitization not to mention one of the workers that was making ice cream stopped in the middle to rub her nose with her hand and then continued making the order. As much as we love cold stone ice cream I don’t know that we will be back unless they change their procedures to include extra precautions during this...
Read moreEDIT: 7/2/21: I write this edit because I am so suprised at what happened with my service tonight. I ordered a large (mind you its 7$) and the server scooped out my ice cream and mixed the toppings but left almost a whole scoop out of my cup. My cup was not full and for some reason she proceeded to throw out about 1/4 of my ice cream she had scooped for me. I'm not sure if this is management making her do this or what. But I dont understand why when you know that the customers are watching you make their ice cream that you would throw out a portion of it when you already scooped it and used my mix ins? Very confusing because if anything you would be giving the customer their required amount with a little extra on top. Great friendly workers. Quick too but beware do not get the reese's ice cream cup unless you want straight peanut butter no ice cream. Not worth...
