Golden Wok — Restaurant in Florida

I am sad to make this post, and very disappointed that I even have to! We've been customers since we moved to the area in 05! Always raved about the food to others looking for Asian food. I can no longer do this. We always get the Seafood Combination dinner, been getting it for many years, my hubby and I split it and have been doing this since they put lobster in it...quite some time ago. We stop there about every other month now as we live further away. We noticed about a month ago when we picked up our usual Seafood Combination, and pork fried rice. The seafood Combination dinner had no taste, and no sauce, it was very dry compared to what it used to be, which was always very tasty with the rice. The rice was also undercooked and not soft. We were disappointed, but since we have been going there for many yrs, and all places have a bad nite at some point. Tonight I decided to give it another shot, and again very dissapointed! The Seafood dinner wasn't tasty, no flavor at all! The imitation crab meat was disgusting, and a lingering bad taste in my mouth since we ate. Spend the extra money and get better product! Also, again the rice was too hard. You have now lost a very long-time customer of 20yrs. I understand cutting costs to save money, but your food is not what it used to...

Today is Monday, April 27th 2020. This is not a complaint about the food or service. This is a complaint about the lack of social distancing in the small lobby where orders are placed. I felt very uncomfortable with the number of people waiting to place or pick up their order when I was there yesterday.

There is a plastic shield between the restaurant kitchen area and that is good. They have taken the proper precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from kitchen area to the public ordering area. Good job there. This also protects the employees from those in the public and that is also a good thing.

My complaint is that the public in the lobby are too close together. The 6 ft social distancing practice cannot be practiced properly in their lobby when there is high demand. To address this they should mark places for standing in the lobby and should keep people from entering the front door until customer can safely...

This restaurant is excellent. We first had takeout from this location while we were in Spring Hill looking for a new home. We come from another state where Chinese food is excellent and we found that this restaurant totally meets our needs and expectations. Since we’ve moved into our new home, we have continued to order from this restaurant and they have never let us down. Quality food prepared very well, and swift service. I saw another review here where a woman complained about ordering General Tso chicken with “no spice.” She needs an intervention because it’s SUPPOSED TO BE SPICY. Don’t order dishes meant to be spicy/hot if you don’t like it. Order sweet and sour chicken next time lady. Clearly she knows nothing about cooking and recipes and this restaurant shouldn’t be subjected to derogatory comments from a person who clearly doesn’t know what...
