If I could give 0 stars I would, this restaurant is horrible. Went to try it out as it is somewhat new to the town center and was greatly disappointed. It seemed as though the they were extremely ready and eager to finish closing tasks as well as get out of the restaurant, which is understandable as it was considerably close to their closing. However, you shouldn’t make your customers feel the way we felt during the entirety of our time at this gross restaurant. First, we ordered one cocktail and it tasted like water, then we politely asked the waiter to swap for another drink, which tasted disgusting. It was like drinking citric acid. When I told the waitress about this issue she did not apologize, but looked annoyed as we had once again politely told her the drink tasted bad. Then, the food comes and we are disappointed again. I ordered lobster mac and cheese with “jerk shrimp” and got extremely bland pasta shells with sauce, some unseasoned shrimp and whole lobster claws that were almost like rubber. At this point I just decided to try and finish the food, as they were about to close. It was extremely hard for me, a seafood lover, to finish that food. It tasted like just fish, there was no flavor at all. Then they charged an extra $10 for “jerk shrimp” when there was no jerk seasoning, or any seasoning for that matter, on the shrimp or anywhere in the dish. I have made jerk shrimp before so I know what jerk seasoning tastes like, there was none in that shrimp. Then when it was time to go another waitress brought out our waitress to give us the bill, we paid and got up and left. The icing on the cake was she did not say anything to us as we left, the bartender was the only one to acknowledge us as we left. I work in customer service as well so I know it gets stressful at times, especially when nearing closing time, but that does not excuse being rude and dismissive to your customers, especially if there are already multiple issues with their experience. I have never experienced such bad service and food at a restaurant and I will not be returning and recommend you don’t even attempt to go. If you want good seafood turn the other direction and don’t give these people any of your money,...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hooked Island Grill and I was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service and atmosphere, largely due to the exceptional leadership of the restaurant manager, Jasmine.
From the moment we walked in, Jasmine set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Their warm and genuine greeting made us feel immediately welcome. It was evident that they took great pride in their work and genuinely cared about the guests' experience.
Throughout the evening, Jasmine was highly attentive, ensuring that every table received personalized attention. They seamlessly coordinated the staff, ensuring that service was prompt, courteous, and professional. What stood out most was their ability to anticipate needs before they were voiced, from refilling drinks to accommodating special requests.
The staff clearly respected and looked up to Jasmine, and their positive influence was reflected in the team's performance. The restaurant operated like a well-oiled machine, with a relaxed yet efficient atmosphere. It was clear that Jasmine had cultivated a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Chip our server had knowledge of the menu and the wine pairings was impressive, and their recommendations were spot on. They took the time to explain the dishes and ingredients, enhancing our appreciation for the meal.
In addition to their professionalism, Jasmine was personable and approachable, frequently checking in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Their presence added a personal touch that made our visit truly memorable.
Overall, Jasmine exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding restaurant manager. Their leadership, attention to detail, and genuine care for both guests and staff set Hooked Island Grill apart as a top dining destination. I look forward to returning and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional...
Read moreSome Good, Some Not So Good! We stopped in for the first time on Thanksgiving Eve and wanted to try a few different menu items. We started with the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms ($15.00) and Sunset Calamari ($12.00) from the Appetizer List. The button mushroom caps were filled with a very tasty crab cake like filling, but five fairly small mushrooms, pretty much one biters, for $15 is a little steep in our opinion. We would never get the Calamari again. The squid was to also have banana and red peppers and there may have been two in the entire portion. Way too much of a batter coating on the calamari and peppers and it is fried very crispy. We suspect that the battered pepper rings probably burned up in the fryer. The squid had ZERO seafood flavor, just crunchy fried batter. Pass on the Sunset Calamari. We then ordered a few other items. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her South Florida Gumbo ($19.00). The very rich and flavorful tomato based gravy had lots of spicy Andouille sausage, vegetables and five shrimp served with a generous serving of white rice. The only problem was that the shrimp were too salty from using too much Old Bay seasoning on them. My daughter had a cup of Hooked Clam Chowdahhh ($6.00) with a side of Garlic Bread ($2.00). Her Chowdahhh was tasty, loaded with all the usual clam chowder goodies in a thick gravy like broth. Two bucks for an ok garlic bread is a bit steep for what it is. I had the Mussels appetizer ($14.00) and this was good. A full pound of mussels in a flavorful tomato broth, rich with probably Parmesan cheese. Very delicious and I would get this again. Tap beers run $7.00, Bahama Mama cocktail $8.00, Iced Tea $3.50. During our visit we saw many people having the all you can eat snow crab leg special ($40.00). Typically a Monday special, they are running it on other days for awhile. Diners near us said they really enjoyed them so we may go back and...
