Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Florida

I sometimes stop to eat here if I am at the Ellenton Outlets. Normally it is pretty good for the price. But not today!

Today, I stopped in to have the pizza buffet and salad bar. It was somewhat busy when I arrived. Sat myself and waited 15 mins for the waitress come over. She wasnt that busy. I ordered the buffet. Went up to the pizza and pasta area. Looked like a bomb went off! A lack of fresh pizza and no pasta. What pizza that was up there, looked old.. dried up. Grabbed a few different slices and yep, not even warm (pizza). The pepperoni pizza looked more like a cheese pizza ( lack of pepperoni). Decided, well let's go with a salad (bar), which was pretty good. I was there by myself for an hour and a half, that entire time, the same 2 slices of pizza sat on a pizza pan, at the buffet line. Lack of quality and quantity (selection). The waitress would walk by my table. I would place an empty dirty plate to the side. Finally I had to ask her for the check. At that point she did take two of my plates. This place has gone down and the price went up! Normally, if a price increases you would except a better product and service not a decrease in quality. People/employees need to take pride in their work and the product they are selling to the customer. If you're cutting corners...the customer will see that. Maybe this place is going through some hard times, financially, I dont know. The place has gone downhill...bigtime! Over $10 bucks for room temperature pizza,...

The pizza are every good soups are every good the Service is outstanding I come in 3 or 4 times a week now . The waitdress are family helpful there could be more to help product of the along as some new items or helping senior citizens discount when you go to other places and receive things of discounts as Apple Bee or Chilli and other places sometimes the ladies room is a mess I go there clean it up .There a few waitresses that are outstanding Dee is one of them. Each time you in the same food your in a state where spending money going out. There one store in Brandenton FL Hungry Howie that is a mess it not well kept. I do digital marking I like this note to go to the Corporate office and have a written reply back ApplecBee and Chilli discounts I understand if formula works stay with it there a lot of companies out that are accommodating senior citizens why not you. What not selling T shirts or Hats as adventures to the public because I think if bring staff in of 3 people I would want then to buy something from the company I will give you 5 star of the fact of the food I want this to go to Corporate office Thank You Paula Guyer Consultant Disable Persons Grant's n funding underwriting program...

Food and service is always great! The wait staff is so amazing! Any type of specialty pizza is at no extra charge and they always seem happy to oblige.

So, regretfully, I have to add to my previous review...

Called to place a to go order and was told I had to call back and order through their call center. Tried to call the call center and couldn't understand the person on the phone. I showed up at the actual restaurant and the kid that works there was put out that I actually showed up to order. Tried to order stuff they have on the buffet only to be told, quite rudely, that NOPE, YOU CAN'T ORDER THAT.... my daughter just looked at me and we were confused. Finally put my simple order in and the young man gave me a total, took the money handed me change, told me 10 minutes and walked away... customer service is just terrible! It's unfortunate because my kids love going there but I think we will go to a different location...
