I recently had the WORST experience at the 3839 N. Monroe St Tallahassee, FL location and will never order from this location again. I placed an online order on 2/8/24 with a delayed delivery until 2/9 at 12:00pm. I placed it ahead of time because it was a large order of about $135 and I thought I was doing good by giving a little notice of a larger order. Well something glitched with the online order because when I received my email confirmation of the order it was a confirmation for a now order instead of a future order. I called the store immediately to resolve the issue. By the time I saw the email, called, and got through the automated system it was SIX minutes from placing the order. The guy that I spoke with was extremely rude. I explained what happened and he proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do and all of the food was cooked!! Ummm, you mean it's all done in SIX minutes!!??!! I don't even know how that is possible. So I asked him if there were some that weren't done that maybe I could even stop a portion of the order and he said no. So I asked to speak to a Manager to see if there was anything that could possibly be done because I called immediately and it wasn't my fault that the online system messed up. He told me he was the manager and repeated again that nothing could be done. Even told me had I called sooner maybe they could sine something. Sooner!!??!! It was SIX minutes. So I tell him again I don't need to pizza today (2/8/24) , I need it tomorrow( 2/9/24) and I didn't want that pizza. We hang up. I call corporate and corporate says to refuse the pizza and they will request that the Franchise Owner reach out to me to help resolve the issue. About 30ish minutes later, the pizza does show up and I refuse it per does show up and I refuse it per corporate. Keep in mind I now have to place the order again on 2/9 because it was for an office event so the food was still needed. The order was replaced for a different location but now $270 is tied up. I wait one week and hear nothing. I call corporate back and they acknowledge that the Franchise Owner has done nothing with the request and submit another request to the Franchise Owner for them to reach out to me and try to resolve the issue. I am writing this on 3/6/24 and to date have not been contacted by anyone affiliated with Hungry Howie's. I wound up filing a dispute with my card company to get the initial $135 back. I'm just disgusted at the customer service or the obvious lack there of. I have been a very long time customer of Hungry Howie's, in fact, it is the only chain pizza place that I will eat. Read moreTried to make a large order for an event at work. I attempted to pay using my debit card. The guy on the phone kept messing up and having to re-enter my information FIVE TIMES! Each time he verbally repeated all my information. All of it from the name to the card number all the way through to my zip code. Five times. At this point he triggered a fraud alert and it caused my card to be declined. I cleared the alert but it continued to decline. Spoke with the manager and apparently he didn't know how to clear his machine. he refused to accept any responsibility for his employee's mishandling of my card. I hung up and called my bank who confirmed the error was occurring at HH end.
