Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Florida

I am hopping on here today to write a very nice review of my local Jersey Mike's Sub Shop. I swung by after a long morning running everywhere, because I knew they offered a GF bread option. It has been 7 years since my celiac triggered, and well to eat out changed forever that day. I wanted to rave because very rarely do I not feel like a burden when ordering food out, some have even joked, "you should just eat at home". Unfortunately I do not get the typical stomach issues when I ingest gluten, I actually get an itchy rash and a migraine that is so intense me throwing up is usually a given and I am in bed the rest of the day/night. Jersey Mike's team not only offered a GF bread option, they actually went above and beyond to clean the grill before cooking my meat/cheese (since bread is toasted on their grill) ALSO using a mayo squeezer, see many don't realize that when you dip a knife into mayo after spreading on regular bread, then those crumbs now are in that mayo. I was just really impressed with the care and attention they took to make me feel normal, in a not so ordinary order.

Ordered 2 gluten free subs via Postmates. When I saw the price of $25. I assumed these would be large subs. First time going to jersey Mike's. Received text from Postmates stating they were preparing order, then another that order was ready for pickup. Got there, wasn't even started. Gave them my name and waited. Was not overly busy, finally they got what I thought was my order and tossed it up on a shelf. So I waited and waited. Finally I got up and approached the counter due to nobody was acknowledging me. I asked if that was mine, she said yes and gave it to me. Okay, so customer service not good, they all knew I was waiting, so not sure why they were ignoring me, I even gave them a tip. So that's that. Also the subs were 7" subs. Frankly they were prepared correctly per order but I feel $25. For 2 7" subs is expensive. So for us between the customer service and cost, was our first and last time going to Jersey Mike's ( in Venice any...

I ordered a party box over the phone on 06/25/2023 at 11:00 a.m. to be picked up at 5:30 p.m. When the person picking them up brought them home for the party, they were 4 large subs wrapped as 4 items not as a party box. The presentation was ugly at best and the sandwiches looked like a toddler had made them. When I called to discuss the situation, there was no manager on duty. I was connected to a “lead staff member” who was exceptionally rude and said that was how I had ordered them. I reminded her that I had called them in as a party box not as 4 large subs. Word to the wise, think twice before ordering subs at this location…especially if you want them to look presentable. If only Obee’s had been open, this would never have happened.
