Johnny Rockets I have been to Johnny Rockets a few times. It’s not my cup of tea. A weekend ago hubby and I stopped in because the pizza place we wanted to go was closed and Johnny Rocket was next door. Atmosphere - Other than the music playing, it was pretty quiet. All of the booths were taken around the walls. We sat in the middle at a table. There is a 70’s feel. I was at one in New Orleans, if iam correct, the waitresses and waiters were on roller skates. No fancy dancing at this location. Service - The waitress took too long to assist. She was pleasant but did not speak or engage. She was in the back most of the time saw her a few times waiting on other customers. Food- The food is very basic and over priced. Each item was separate. Burgers did not come with a side. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a strawberry shake for hubby. I don’t eat tomatoes so the sandwich had 1 slice of lettuce and mayonnaise this cost $9.99 if Iam correct. The shake was about $7 to $8. The shake was great. It is better than the competitions. The check was $19. Johnny rockets lacks luster. It’s boring. If there was some excitement I may have not been disappointed in the food and annoyed by the prices. They need to create players the have sides. I could have used an onion on my sandwich and a pickle something to justify the $10 I paid. They need to do better revamp. The concept is great but it needs work. And this is why it’s not my cup of tea.

This review is a little overdue so please note that some menu items and pricing may have changed. Kudos to Anna who was great! Johnny Rockets for me has always been associated to Orlando, vacation and fun because long before I moved here, we'd always visit Johnny Rockets during vacation . It's a sense of nostalgia for me, not just because of the 50's diner vibes, but also because it reminds me of vacations here as a kid. This location is in The Loop shopping plaza, nestled next to Regal Cinema and Ben & Jerry's. The plaza itself can get extremely busy. There is a huge parking lot but may take some time to find parking near your destination. Usually this Johnny Rockets is busy, but I arrived just after the lunch rush and was able to immediately snag a table. There are vegetarian options, including salads, side and the Streamliner Boca Veggie burger. They have recently introduced the Impossible burger which is a great option for Vegetarian or Vegan. They now also have plant-based milkshakes which I was impressed to see. I chose to go with a Streamliner Boca burger, sweet potato fries and a cookies and cream milkshake. Perfect spot for a couple date or family date - dinner and a movie! But also good for a solo meal. There is outdoor seating available. Beer and wine available.

Right up my alley. Incredible music, great service, and good old American diner feels. I tried the route 66 burger sub mayo and add special sauce and a peanutbutter and chocolate shake. Both were flavorful and executed well. I thought their shake was a bit thin, but it made for immediate enjoyment and easy drinking, which thicker shakes cannot do. The sweet potato fries were ok. I enjoyed the onion rings we got for the table also. My girlfriend tried the vegan shake which is not only vegan, but so is the whipped cream they used to make it. We thought it was a cool option as she has a dairy allergy, but didn't quite taste the same. It kinda reminded me almost of a marshmallow like flavor in the background. In any case, it was a great alternative offering, albeit more expensively priced than the normal shakes. All in all, everyone in our party of 4 seemed to enjoy their meals overall. I would certainly return.

Small servings, high prices, slow service.

Arrived at 3 PM; order was in right away, but food was not served until about 3:40 for something as simple as two sandwiches and fries/tater tots. Many, many things coming off the grill right into to-go boxes. I understand they clearly have a great delivery service going, but customers actually there and waiting for their food should take priority.

They bizarrely decide to serve the sides before the entrée. We received our fries and tater tots about 8 minutes before the rest of our food, meaning we were nearly finished with them by the time our meals were actually served. They also have a strange gimmick where they serve every meal with a paper plate that someone squirted a ketchup smiley face on -- it's honestly just weird and wasteful.

Order was incorrect as well. Ordered sweet potato fries, got regular. Given how long it took to get them, we decided to just live with it.

Portions were very small. The fries were fine, but the burgers were laughably tiny. Single patty, maybe a quarter of an inch thick, one slice of cheese, maybe half a jalapeno, sliced. For $10. It was bland and boring, too.

And the kicker: that doesn't even include a side or a drink. Fries were an additional $3.29, and tater tots? A hilarious $6.29 upcharge. Seriously? Drink was another $3.29. To get the smallest burger I've ever had, fries, and a drink was almost $20.

Big pass for me. We picked this place because it was convenient and right outside the Regal theatre we just watched a movie at, but we seriously wished we'd just gone across the street to the Wendy's. It would have been a much cheaper, much faster, much more...

My daughter and I went into this establishment last Wednesday after we caught a movie at the movie theater next door. We are having such a good day that I decided you know what a dinner and a movie is what we needed upon walking into this establishment we realized that every single table was full of garbage and trash there was left over and tables everywhere were not bussed. I'm talking about just about every single table it wasn't even busy in there there was no one else in there when we came in except for someone sitting at the counter. It took about 10 minutes for them to even know that we were there to give us a seat thank God my daughter is only 8 years old because I felt so embarrassed that I took her into a place that was that dirty and she was so excited about eating out that I didn't leave. After getting seated it took about another 15 minutes for them to actually come over and acknowledge we were sitting there and take an order. And let me remind you we were the only people in the restaurant. The entire time we sat there around tables that were filthy I felt really disgusted even sitting there trying to eat. My daughter got a kid's meal with two sliders on it she didn't complain she actually liked it the french fries are very tasty and probably the best french fries I've ever tasted in my life at a restaurant. I ordered a simple garden salad and it was amazing because the ranch they use is delicious! The menu is quite pricey considering when you order a hamburger you're just paying for the hamburger you don't get a side with the hamburger. I highly doubt that I will ever return to this establishment again just because of the mess that I...

My fair and honest review of Johnny Rockets.

This was not my first time eating at a Johnny Rockets and the few times I remember I believe the experience has been getting worse.

The service was okay, 3 servers working that night and 2 other tables besides mine eating that night. Our server attempted to try her best, but due to amount of people that night I believe it could have improved.

The food looked good in the menu, and my wife order chicken wings and I a Chilli Rocket Dog. While I shuddered at the price of a chili dog being $7.99 and it did not come with a side of fries shocked me as I thought I was reading the menu wrong. So we shared a plate of fries and began the clock on the kitchen.

For our food it took 43 minutes to prepare and from kitchen to table 12 minutes as our server was busy cleaning. The plating on the wings was okay, all drums and no flats. Roughly 6 wings ($9.99). And the chili dog was unfortunately the only thing on the plate and to me the chili at Steak and Shake is better.

After we finished, I did a quick recap of the other groups eating. Milkshakes and fries, and a few comments from them about the price. Overall, $31.23 for a chili dog, 6 wings, small order of fries and 2 drinks.

It was as we left I realized there was a Wendy's across the street and may have been a better deal. While the atmosphere was great and the reminiscent 1950s soda shoppe atmosphere was cool.....Price, Kitchen prep and service were the downfall.

My hopes is that the price would become realistic to the amount of food...
