Ok. A lot to be said here. This Deli has the potential of being a 5 star…we just had a few hit and miss opportunities while we ate here today. First, we ordered two sandwiches with 2 sides and 2 drinks. Our sandwiches were the southwest chicken and the sweet and Smokey chicken. The southwest was put together perfectly, seasoned perfectly and overall had a better taste. The Bbq sandwich took up a 1/4 of the bread. The sandwich had hardly anything in it but what was there was decently flavored. I just wish there was more than just bread. The bread for both sandwiches was lightly toasted and easy to eat for a ciabatta. We thought the bread was a highlight for this meal. Our sides were the tomato cucumber salad and steamed broccoli. I loved the broccoli. It was steamed to perfection and lightly salted and buttered. I could have eaten an entire plate of just the broccoli if it were an option. The tomato cucumber salad, however, was very bland. No seasoning at all and could have used a citrus or balsamic and oil to lift it. The lemonade tea -TWO THUMBS UP.
The service. There were several men behind the counter and one woman cleaning tables. The table next to us sat uncleaned for at least 15 minutes. When someone finally came over to ask if he could clear our plates we explained he could take them but they were from the last customer. No on in the course of our meal cleaned that able or ours.
Again, there’s potential here but it looks like the experience of the people in control may have been lacking and if not, they were likely...
Read moreCouldn’t wait for this location to open. We were there waiting in line on opening day. We have been to McAlister’s many times in many cities. This location was great for about a week. Since that time, it has gone downhill. I have been there seven times. On recent visits, there were plenty of employees on site, but only one cashier and the line was long. Everyone in line was griping about why one of the other workers couldn’t man one of the other two registers. No worker understood the app and as a matter of fact, we were told they have nothing to do with the app. They gave us an 800 phone number and said to call that number. I was told each visit to give them my phone number and not to bother presenting the QR code to get on points because it doesn’t matter in order to get the points. Well, apparently, it does matter. I have not received points on 5 of the 7 visits. Maybe this location will get its act together, but I won’t return any time soon. They need some time to get it together. Sorry for the poor review, most of mine are 4 and 5 stars, as you can see, but not this one, at least not yet. Also, be sure to call ahead to check the hours if you’re dining in. The app and the closing time posted on the door aren’t always correct. P.S. the...
Read moreI came to this location numerous times due to the excellent menu options. But I have noticed a shift in customer service in my past two visits that upper management needs to address. My two past two visits, and they were approximately two weeks apart, I experienced the same concern. The first one is that there is one person running the cashier during peak hours. There will be a long line to order and the poor cashier trying to do his due diligence to ensure that all the orders were taken efficiently. Second concern is the cleanliness. I noticed other people and including myself have to wait a brief amount of time to have the tables cleaned off. I had a hot sandwich because I was daring to try something different, in result the sandwich was served cold, I ordered soup and was given their house potato chips. As an apology, staff gave me cookies as a courtesy for the bad experience. All that can lead to employee burnout and it's a popular area so business there will always be busy. Management just needs to...
