So I went to the counter to order and the cashier just kind of stared at me, then walked away and never came back. I ended up ordering on the machine. It was one where you sit and they bring your food to you. Quite a few minutes went by they brought the food, placed the tray on the table and walked away, no verbal interaction at all despite my saying thank you. Had a double quarter pounder meal, burger was overdone but hot, fries were undercooked, mushy in parts and Luke warm. Went back to the counter after choking down the food to see if I could get the receipt and same cashier just stared at me then walked away. A little elderly woman stepped to the counter and received 5 star treatment from the same cashier and they had a wonderful exchange and warm smiles as they spoke in Spanish to one another. Wait at the counter again for about 5 minutes and ask about the receipt and the girl rolled her eyes walked to the manager who came and struggled to understand what I was asking for but them was able to figure it out. Wished her a great day and she was responsive. The place was clean, busy but well maintained and there were lots of kids having a fun time in the playground. So if you like mediocre food, poor customer service (unless you are fluent in spanish-which is no biggie, it is expected in Miami, but both people should try when communicating) but a fun atmosphere for the kids then this is the place for you. If you expect more I would pass right on by there are plenty of other better options in the...
Read moreI’m only putting one star so I can leave the review. This McDonald’s is horrible. Every time you go to buy a snack because you’re just hungry in the afternoon or you want a break they tell you no if it’s too small they won’t allow you to purchase like for example, two danishes or two apple pies or something like that… today in the evening I ordered two shakes, and two apple pies. The girl said it was $20.98. I told her… hey are you saying 2 shakes and 2- apple pies are $20.98 and she said yeah that’s what it cost now and I said but two shakes or $ 3.89 for each shake (7.78). she says well what do you want to eat and I told her well not that I’m not paying $20.98. I went to the McDonald’s at the crossings and sure enough the shakes were $3.89 each and the apple pies two apple pies were $2.89 for a total of $12 and change. Honestly the one on 129th and Kendall seems to have been purchased by the same owner at 117th and Kendall… the employees are rude for the most part at night and treat the customers like they are trash. The one on 104th and 147th are polite and super nice but they are more than 4 miles away…, anyway I’d like to report this to headquarters. And then on top of it they don’t really cook well. Never going back! And Rollie the Don you are right they are racist but NO they are not Cuban they are South Americans … they Hate CUBANS and Americans -and just about anyone who is not South...
Read moreWhere could I begin. I was delighted to indulge in their staple Big Mac (or as the culinary world calls it Le Grande Mach). It was a late night offering of divine decadence that caused the mountainous range of my taste buds to leap in jubilee. My first bite was a white-wheat wonder taking me on a journey to the hills of Wyoming's cattle ranches. There was what seemed to be a subtle hint of a grassy openess to the pattie. My senses were then taken into the hidden valleys of a thousand islands. I relished the unction of the thick rivers of the Mississippi. The onion-ess terrain of cheese marrying beef began to sing me hymnal awe of "The Sound of Music" from the musical of the same name.
An ether of yellow and starch they call the French fry whisked me away to a sodium wonderland. I sensed they had made that batch approximately 5-10 minutes before my experience there. No one should sin in such hedonistic pleasure.
I will conclude my review by quoting some of the great sayings of McDonald's. "McDonald's is the place to rock....Rock and roll McDonald's." - Wesley Willis. I loathe the day when I had eaten this. The thought of the luxury of frequent forbidden journeys to this establishment plagues me. I lie awake every night seeking the feeling I had gotten when McDonald's invaded my space, my heart, and my gastrointestinal footpath of food.
