I've been here quite a few times, and I give it 5 stars! My family and I are pizza connoisseurs. We eat at any Pizza place we possibly can. Whether it's Sicilian, Chicago style deep dish, authentic Italian, or New York Style, we are going to try it! We have also mastered our own New York and Sicilian style pizza recipes, which we make together at family gatherings. Now that you know our family's long history with pizza, I'll tell you about our long history with Papa's Pizza. We used to vacation in Pensacola every year, we had tried other beaches, but this one is our favorite. The very first year we stayed in Gulf Breeze, we ate at Papa's Pizza. We were blown away by how delicious their pizza is, as well as the rest of their food! The pizza is definitely a true New York Style, even with a hint of authentic Naples inspiration (which are both our favorite styles of pizza!). It is perfectly seasoned, the dough is gooey but firm, the toppings are always proportioned properly, and the sauce is subtly sweet! The flavor and texture of PaPa's pizza is incredibly consistent. Every year we visited Pensacola Beach, we looked forward to eating there. We were never disappointed. The pizza slices are magnificently huge! I love their pizza so much, I wish they would open a location where I'm from! Their restaurant and dining area are small, but I feel they make optimal use of their space. When visiting a place as popular as this, I would call way ahead of your intended dining time, or be prepared to wait during peak hours! If you end up waiting a while, it is so worth it! The staff has always been hard-working, polite, and prompt. Yes, a lot of people who work here are younger, many of them are working their way through school. I've never had a bad customer service experience here, but of course everyone perceives these situations differently. I can tell you that the management and staff will always do their best to take care of you, and any problem you may experience will be addressed in the most professional way! Their food may be a tad on the pricey side, but quality like that isn't cheap! This restaurant has survived a massive, devastating hurricane, and is now operating through a global pandemic! They have faced huge challenges, and still came out on top! I have to admit, this place is sentimental for me, because of my memories of eating there with my family. For this and other reasons, PaPa's Pizza will always be special to me. I hope I can visit Pensacola again, once we've all emerged victorious from this awful pandemic, and enjoy my favorite Florida pizza place with my family by my side. Until then, I wish everyone at Papa's Pizza a safe and happy...
Read moreHold on to your pepperoni hats, folks, because I just had a pizza experience that rocked my world! Papa’s Pizza deserves all five stars and then some, because their pizza made my taste buds dance the cha-cha like never before.
From the moment I opened the pizza box, I knew I was in for something special. The aroma alone could wake a sleeping sloth from hibernation. It’s like the pizza was whispering, “Hey, buddy, prepare for a flavor explosion!” And oh boy, did it deliver!
The crust was a masterpiece of chewy goodness. It had just the right amount of crunch to make my teeth happy, while still maintaining that delightful doughy texture. It was like a delicate balance between a bready hug and a crispy high-five.
Now, let’s talk about the cheese. Oh, the cheese! It stretched like it was auditioning for a yoga commercial. I could have played tug-of-war with it, but my taste buds and I had different plans. We devoured it like a hungry pack of cheese-loving wolves, with strings of gooey goodness clinging to our chins.
The toppings? Oh, they were something else. They piled on the goodies like they were building a skyscraper of flavor. From the classic pepperoni that sang a spicy symphony in my mouth to the fresh veggies that added a colorful crunch, each bite was a mini adventure.
And here’s the best part: they didn’t skimp on the sauce. It was a saucy masterpiece, like a secret recipe passed down from pizza gods. It had just the right amount of tang, sweetness, and pizzazz. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a little magic in there, too.
But what really set this pizza apart was the joy it brought. It was like a party in a box, and my taste buds were the VIP guests. With every bite, I couldn’t help but smile and do a little pizza dance. It’s like the pizza whispered, “Hey, life’s too short to be serious. Have a slice and let your taste buds boogie!”
In conclusion, this pizza joint is the real deal. If you’re in the mood for a pizza that will make your taste buds dance like nobody’s watching, this is the place to be. From the delectable crust to the stretchy cheese and flavor-packed toppings, it’s a pizza experience that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Five stars and a standing ovation for this...
Read moreSo, man I really wanted to like this place. I convinced my friends not to order Dominos or Pizza Hut and to hit a local pizzeria. We called in our order and sat outside for around 30 minutes and then went in to grab our pies and head home. When we got in they acted like we hadn’t called them because they didn’t have our order and told us we probably called the other one. My friend redialed the number and the phone in front of us rang. They never apologized for losing our order and then got an attitude with me when I asked if they could comp just our breadsticks since they lost our WHOLE order and now we had to wait double the time. They “found” our order like 15 minutes after we were waiting for the new order to be done so no idea if it had just been sitting somewhere or if these were the new orders and they’re just saying they found them. Either way it didn’t matter because our order was WRONG and covered in black olives despite us ordering not ordering olives. The bread sticks also weren’t great since the marinara sauce it wayyyyyy too watery and doesn’t stick to anything. Next time I’m going to have a hard time convincing my friends to try local if this is the standard. The only worker who even said she was sorry was a younger girl who was kinda tall named something close to “Carly” or something similar. Kudos to her for being nice and helpful, but the rest of the workers who interact with people...
