Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Florida

Rita's products are excellent, however the service at the Naples location is terrible. It seems they just close up whenever they feel like it. They are suppose to be open until 9:30pm. Twice I've gone out of my way to go there to buy their Misto shakes, twice I've gotten there before 9:15pm. Once at 9:10, and another time at 9:14pm. Both times I was told that they've turned off the blenders for the night. If they want to change their operating hours to 9pm, then fine they should do so, but if you advise that your business is open until 9:30pm, then one of your main number one products should be available until at least a little closer to closing time. At least have it available until 9:25 or so. I've never had this problem at the Ft.Myers or Port Charlotte locations. They always have all of their blended shakes available right up to closing time. It is well established that the alcohol sugars they use to sweeten their products induce extreme gastrointestinal distress. This is well documented in the medical literature. Several people have reported this online with Rita’s sugar-free in the past. While Rita’s does not provide details on the amounts of sugar alcohols they use, it has been reported they use 50 grams in a small ice, if true, is a high amount. Multiple times now I've gotten flavors with a weird aftertaste that tastes like freezerburn with some kind of chemical additive. Chocolate or vanilla are fine, but you can't order any specialty flavor since they moved.

I am taking about their custards. I've tried a number of them as I'm usually there because of someone else's desire. The chocolate brownie was by far the most disgusting, but the reeses peanut butter custard l had today was not far behind it. They had the same aftertaste, though in different volumes.
