Where do I start......let's start with 2 loggerheads costing $10 but if you go online a box of 10 cost $38.95. The loggerheads themselves were old and the chocolate was over crystallized. Then we purchased a white chocolate coconut cluster. It was a ball of white coating chocolate and shredded coconut. The flavor was straight sugar and the mouth feel was like eating a spoon of vegetable oil and Granulated sugar. Tasted nothing like white chocolate or coconut. Moving onto the "chocolate" truffles. With the truffles, the chocolate, if that's what you want to call it was definitely a couveture chocolate or even cllse to a quality chocolate. The dark chocolate was extremely sweet and tasted more of sugar with no flavor of cocoa. If youre charging $30/pound for chocolate, any customer would expect a higher quality chocolate. The "ganache" in the chocolate truffles was somewhat translucent and extremely sweet and shiny with no cocoa or hazlenut flavor. The appearance and flavor of the "ganache" was indicative of massive amounts of glucose syrup, which is far less expensive than higher qaulity chocolate and cream. The key lime "ganache" was at the same level as the chocolate "ganache", higher glucose syrup content and minimal white chocolate with the flavor of lime extract. The caramel in the sea salt caramel truffle was not caramel. Whatever was used came from a bucket and was made with glucose and corn syrup. It was translucent and shiny, contained no heavy cream and tasted of pure sugar. None of the chocolate purchased was in temper either, which makes for soft, mushy and unplesant chocolate. I'd also like to state that the larger chocolate and hazelnut truffles were uncapped, meaning they were unfinished in the aspect that they were open on the bottom with the filling exposed. Ultimately, I've had better out of a box of Russell Stowvers and a Hershey bar. Finally, the employee filling our order, used a paper sheet with every separate item. This is fine but when you are charging a customer $30/pound and they get 6 different items and each item is weighed with a separate sheet of paper, those 6 sheets start to add up. If I had to guess, I paid $2 just for the 6 sheets of paper that were added to the overall weight. Imagine how much money is being made by charging customers for the packaging material. The cost for packaging is already factored into the sale price of the products purchased. The quality is extremely sub par for the price. Ultimately, we will not be returning to this store or any other locations. It is unfortunate that other some franchisees have lost potential business at the...
Read moreWe love the River Street Sweets on River Street in Savannah, so we were thrilled when we saw we had one right here in Orlando. The staff was friendly, but both things we bought were awful, and one was their signature item (right on the sign), a praline. Having brought pralines home from Savannah in the past, I know what they taste like when they're a few days old, and this one definitely tasted old. Then, to my dismay, just as I was taking my second bite, a fishy odor hit my nose and I bit into something inorganic. I spit it out immediately and found a strip of paper padding along the bottom of my praline. I have no idea what it could have been... don't want to know honestly... but the rest went in the trash. My husband had taken his Rice Krispie treat into the other room and appeared right after I spit out my praline bite and said, "Does this smell funny to you?" It didn't smell at all like a Rice Krispie treat should smell. It smelled like something that had been sitting out a long time absorbing people odors, like perfume and cigarette smoke, and goodness knows what else. It was really gross, so that went in the trash, too. We won't be returning to this...

I had the absolute pleasure of ordering from River Sweets at Margaritaville in Florida, and I am beyond impressed with the level of service I received. From the moment I reached out, Manager Natasha went above and beyond to accommodate my request — even though it was the Fourth of July, a major holiday!
Not only did Natasha make sure my fresh pralines were prepared to order, but she also came in early on her day off just to make sure everything was perfect and ready for pickup. That kind of dedication is rare and truly appreciated.
Britany, the employee assisting me during pickup, was just as outstanding — warm, welcoming, and professional. She made the experience smooth and delightful from start to finish.
The pralines were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and packaged with care. You could truly taste the love and effort that went into making them.
If you're ever near Margaritaville, do yourself a favor and stop by River Sweets. And if you’re lucky enough to be helped by Natasha or Britany, you’re in...
