Yuck! Visited this restaurant after finding an amazing Sr Tequila in the Orlando area. The chips were not good, didn't taste homemade. They have two salsas- cut up tomatoes with salentra and one that tastes kinda like a thick hot sauce. Both were yuck in my opinion. Their chimichunga doesn't come with white cheese sauce topped over it - we've never seen this after eating at Mexican restaurants in numerous places and states. I would even go as far as saying I cook a better taco then what was served there. There was not one item we had that we enjoyed. Very disappointing to have so many leftovers but leave them all behind. I couldn't even force my kids to eat their hamburger and french fries. So disappointing as we were hoping for an amazing dinner like the one in Orlando. Apparently the one in Orlando is family owned. Wasn't impressed with the service either however, the bartender was our server so no one checked on us after the food was served. I finally asked another server to refill our drinks since he was busy behind the bar. My husband drinks sweet tea like water. He was able to get one refill here. Very expensive for the quality in my opinion. Couldn't believe we paid almost $70 for two adult and two kids meals that tasted that bad. Will never revisit this place or recommend! Not sure why they have good ratings. Oh, it was also a little difficult to find and no where to park. We ended up parking in the back with the dumpster. Again, yuck!!! Personally, I would rather go to Taco Bell but again, that's just...

Very impressed with the cooks for lunch. I specify lunch as the prices seem to double for dinner and im not paying $18 for a plate of enchiladas. Anyway, for lunch this place is a must. Less than $10 per plate of some well seasoned, expertly cooked food. So far I have tried their chicken, ground, and shredded beef. All were seasoned beautifully and rolled perfectly. Just the right amount of tortilla to meat ratio. The cooks are not heavy handed with the sauce and add the right amount of cheese to not over power the contrasting flavors in the dish.
Personally, the refried beans can have some more garlic and onion, and the rice seems a bit on the al dente side. From personal experience I would say its just bad luck in getting rice caught on the side of the service pan which sits slightly above the water line in the steam table, so, less rice in a deeper pan would solve that problem. Especially if you throw buttered wax paper on top of the rice during the morning prep. I digress, rice and bean sides aside, you really can't go wrong with the Enchilada or Chimichanga plate from this spot. If you're craving a delicious plate that satisfies but doesnt weigh you down for the day, I definitely recommend. As stated in the beginning this opinion is based on bitesquad delivery so even after transit the food holds...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Señor Tequila's in the Marquesa Plaza on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. Because of the time of the day that arrived (and the fact that it is not during the tourist/northern visitor season), it was not a busy time and there were only a few tables and booths that had people seated at them, and there were only a couple patrons seated at the bar. We were met as soon as we walked in the door and seated in a booth (at our request). Our waiter was at our table immediately and took our drink order. A food runner brought tortilla chips and two small bowls of salsa to the table, mild, and make your head sweat hot. By the time our waiter got back with our drinks, we were ready to order. Our food was delivered to our table fairly quickly, and was hot (and server on hot plates). The food was very good, as it always is ... we have never had a bad experience with food quality or taste at this restaurant. And during our meal, our drinks (non-alcoholic) were kept full. The restaurant (and restrooms) were clean, and the atmosphere was authentic, with appropriate ethnic music playing in the background. We have eaten there when they had live musicians strolling through the restaurant, making for a very enjoyable and fun experience. We will certainly...
