Shore Dogs Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Florida

The whole experience was a disaster. We had a large party so we called ahead. Once we got there they had just seated a party of four right in the middle of where we could've moved some tables together. So we made due with that. The server was so slow. SO SLOW! I've never had service this bad. We finally got drinks. We started ordering at around 7:30 pm. There were maybe 4 other tables besides ours inside and I counted maybe 6 outside. They started bringing out food at around 8:20, after explaining that their fryer broke down so half of us had to reorder. My order was the last one delivered after 9:00. Our 2yo never got her meal. We were just tired of everything by this point (especially since some of us never got a single refill on beverages) when she brought the bills. We basically had to re-explain every order again since she couldn't remember. Then we had to explain to her that we never received part of it. Once this happened all of us were completely disgusted. None of the items matched the prices on the menu. Some were off by 0.50 and others were several dollars. So we asked her what was up with that and she tried passing it off as tax but the tax was added at the bottom of the bill. We pointed that out and she just said, and I quote, "We can call my dad, he owns the place." As if that made any difference on them blatantly over charging. If I were her dad, I wouldn't have let her work there. I've never been so absolutely frustrated by any restaurant in my life. Anywhere. Maybe they are better at other times. But tonight was...

Me and my friend like to try new places to eat, she is pregnant so her cravings vary. Tonight we wanted to try Shore Dogs and I must say I am very disappointed. I ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, we they came to the table they looked very flimsy, and were not crunchy at all. The taste was not appealing either, I sent them back and changed to a different appetizer. I ordered the Gyro with lamb meat and French fries as my meal. I took maybe 3 bites of my gyro and couldn't eat anymore, it was bad, I've eaten plenty of gyros and this was the worst. The pita bread was stale and falling apart in places and the meat had a very weird taste. At the end of our meal when the waitress came over I explained to her about the gyro and how I couldn't eat it and was told that since I had taken a bite of it the best she could do was take some money off my bill, when I received my bill she had charged me $1.52 more for the gyro, and $1.00 more for my appetizer that I did get. When I brought that to her attention she informed me that when she rings the item in it automatically charges tax before hitting the total button...I ended up paying $32 for a gyro I didn't eat, French fries, and an appetizers that I did get, and oh I was also charged for the sauce that automatically came with the appetizer. I will not be dining here again, and my advice to anyone who reads this pay attention to...

Incredible waitress! We went around 8pm. They had plenty of customers but our waitress was on it. The food was amazing! Last minute we decided to take our order to go as we wanted to get a couple other things taken care of. No problem the waitress brought us our food. We tipped her kindly and left.

The reason for four stars was we ordered (and paid for) an extra fry and didn’t receive it. I ordered a draft beer but received it in a bottle, which the waitress promptly corrected (did I mention she was awesome). Finally, there were some bikers there who were absolutely rude. As we were leaving they smoked their bikes so that my wife and son were engulfed in exhaust smoke right as they started walking. Once they got out of that coughing the bikers revved their bikes so loud it set a car alarm off (while my son was standing right beside them), he got very anxious and upset. There was no reason for them to treat an 8 year old kid about it and laugh at him as he walked by.

The last part wasn’t the restaurants fault but they all appeared to be regulars who received cheers from everyone including staff as they got up to leave. Again, this isn’t the fault of the establishment.

Food was amazing and service was outstanding. Definitely five stars if not for forgetting part of my order. Will be back for another try (in daylight so my kiddo...
