In the words of my 10 year old, "It was okay, but we probably don't need to come back." We were greeted immediately upon coming in. The place was pretty busy when we arrived and very busy when we left so obviously someone loves it, just not us. We ordered our drinks once the server arrived who was very friendly and almost immediately my son had his beverage. Not long after, I got mine. We ordered the fried mushrooms and that was probably our very first mistake. They are awful. They are most obviously frozen from the distributor and so the inside is absolutely wet and disgusting and ours happen to also be cold in the middle even though I asked for them to be cooked extra. It would not have mattered, it is so easy to make fresh fried mushrooms that this was a huge disappointment and probably would have completely changed my outlook on the meal had we not ordered them at all. To be fair though she did take them off of our check when she asked about them later in the meal. My son had fried popcorn shrimp and being local was expecting something a little better than the frozen shrimp that we can buy at Walmart or Sam's. They are not. We ordered wings and they were good but I could tell that they also came frozen and were not freshly prepared, but the sauces that they send out with them are delicious. Our server was very nice even though it was quite busy in the restaurant. I am quite used to other local establishments who use a lot of fresh ingredients and this place obviously just uses a lot of what The distributor brings to them instead of trying to put their own flare on things. The patty melt was good and cooked the way I ordered but again, mediocre burger from a distributor. When you see a burger advertised on a menu as Angus you can almost certainly tell that it was a pressed burger up sold to them by distributors. All in all, I should have gone in with a lot less expectations but my neighbor really had great things to say about this place and they do enjoy it. They also serve breakfast and the menu made it sound very tasty before I had tried the other food so I would not be sure what to expect from the breakfast items, but if some of them are homemade I'm sure they are good. It did look a bit expensive almost $13 for an egg breakfast...
Read moreWe visited the alibi to grab a quick bite to eat and believe me there was nothing quick about it..Upon our arrival we were going up the ramp and there was an older couple sitting on the settee at the entrance smoking and i don't mean cigarettes but they didn't seem to mind that they were in a public place and smoking their wacky tobacky, which was kinda funny, but we sat outside on the deck, which it was pleasant until the sun was going down and it was a little chilly at that point. They had really loud music and not comfortably loud but ridiculously loud music playing but noticed they had an acoustic set musician but he was packing up to leave and he took the speaker with him.. but we were greeted by a server almost immediately which was great and we were told about happy hour which was 4$ well drinks and 2.50 beers, so just know that a drink with vodka, Cranberry, and OJ is not a well drink and will cost you 9$ and it took forever for our server to come back to our table so we could place our order. I literally drank all of my 9$ drink before our server returned for our order, so i ordered another drink without knowing it was not included with the happy hour price and was not told this until i received my bill..Also the menu is pretty basic bar food and is a little pricey, but they do offer breakfast food as well but 15$ for a Philly cheesesteak, but to say that I paid 35$ for the meal and 2 drinks was worth the money, well to say the least it was shocking! And I was told that I had to pay for the juices..ok so vodka and orange juice was 4$ and if I add Cranberry I pay 9$ ???..little pricey for Cranberry but anyway 🤷 its only money we'll make more...just make sure you ask if your receiving well drink prices before ordering another..and hopefully you will get faster service than we did...but our server was literally waiting on all the tables inside and out but I felt that I should have been told that the drink I had wasn't included in happy hour pricing..food was decent and location is tucked back in a residential area off...
Read moreWent to alibi with couple friends we liked going there but that changed Sunday 7 sept 2025 After waiting about 25-30 minutes to even see a waitress one shows up. To try to respectfully describe her a ++ over size individual shows up. I complain about the wait for service and get no logical reason but that was ok. She took my order and I was polite but we saw a table open so I told her we would move there. At this section we had a great little waitress who almost immediately checked on us. Took our order and we cut up a little. About 40 minutes later we finally got out food and about 15 min into that some guy who never did identify himself comes up with a smart attitude saying how come you cussed my waitress. I was shocked to say the least. I stated I didn’t know what he was talking about and he said I had cussed her about the slow service. Then he changed it to my complaining. Yes, I complained but didn’t cuss anyone. I always try to respectfully describe everyone in service industry. I told him if I had cussed anyone everyone would have known. He did apologize for the wait which really didn’t matter at that point. And I know this dude who ever he was doesn’t care and I don’t either but that will be the last visit by me or my friends to the place. So if you end up with a ++ oversized waitress beware the waitress I have had in the past were jam up and the little gal last night we ended up with was great and fun. Remember there are many places on the beach and most are actually a little better. Have a good...
