Shula Burger FTLD Airport — Restaurant in Florida

It's nice to see some different places at the airport than the usual fast food places, and I've eaten at Shula's steakhouse before, so I had higher hopoes for this place.

And those hopes were dashed.

First off, you order from an large digital kiosk (like McDonalds), but the options for drinks, burgers, fries, etc are not so obvious.

There was someone working the front area to get your fountain drinks for you, but he helped me run my credit card, and then walked away. I got my receipt and then waited in a line to pick up my cooked to order food (which is normally a good thing).

The employees working the food area were the most sour looking people I have ever come across. They called out numbers separately which confused people picking up their orders. They were very slow in making the food as well. My burger was ready before the fries, so instead of wrapping the burger and placing it under the heat lamp, they put it in the bag on the pickup counter and waited for the fries which they basically dumped into the bag.

I then asked about my drink and they said I should have received it when I ordered. Well, that didn't happen because the up front guy was too busy trying to replace the water bottles in the little cooler and couldn't be bothered.

There was one person standing in the cook prep area just kind of standing around and I guess avoiding cleaning the dining area as they had tables and counters blocked off as part of their establishment, but every table was dirty. I wiped down my table with wipes as it was gross and the airport had no areas in which to sit and eat.

The burger was overcooked and the fries dried out from over-frying and apparently, not changing the fry oil on a regular basis. This place was disgusting.

Next time, I'll grab a pre-packaged sandwich from the newsstand on the other side of...

I was trouble 2 enter this restaurant saying this 2 warn others. I thought initially as this was a cook 2 order it would be better than most fast food. 😅 I ordered quite a few ahead waiting. I order a grilled chicken sandwich with sea salt fries with a lemonade which is maybe country time- 🤮 so keep in mind get receipt I'm hearing numbers called out. I'm looking 4 a place 2 sit that's not dirty unfortunately none. Thankfully I have sanitizer, so I clean & clear the area I'm sitting whenever my orders called by this time its myself & another gentleman so I asked where's my order as it's closer 2 boarding find out another customer obviously got it. So now they cook another 🙄 got it pretty quick 🤔 so eat my fries& open & bite my sandwich so each time I do the top is charred but the inside is rubbery not thoroughly cooked. So upset 2 the point warn other travelers 2 ensure their orders are cooked 2 their liking, as I spent 20 for a meal not edible thankful that my flight was delayed bcz would've been angry if my was boarding. Plus likely the ladies cooking with no fans 2 cool them off while cooking likely make them miserable while cooking; who knows. Plus no cleaning was done til the restaurant was close 2 closing as I was on the last flight out at...

Waited 45 minutes for two cold burgers, after initially being told it would only be 15 minutes. They also weren’t making the orders based on when the orders were placed (they’d call out order 48 then jump to 72, skipping everyone else in-between). Everyone that had ordered way after me was getting their food, while myself and another person had been waiting a while. After 40 minutes I inquired if my order was coming up, and I was rudely told that it was coming (without her checking anything).

The two girls making the hamburgers were extremely rude. One girl was ranting about the job the entire time, while the other one was stating how dumb the customers are. Every customer was patiently waiting for their food, so there shouldn’t have been an issue.

After finally receiving my food after waiting for 45 minutes, I asked if I could have a paper bag. The one girl gave me quite a bit of attitude before giving the bag. The food ended up being cold, and they messed up the order on one burger.

One girl was also handling money while making the burgers and did not change her gloves. This is extremely unsanitary.

Would definitely not go back here. Save your time and money and try...
