I wish the review have 0 start or negative star. This is my first time and last time I rent from EZ car rental . I got car rental at Fort Lauderdale airport . STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAR RENTAL COMPANY.
The lady ask me to sign on a deice without any content. I asked what content do I sign for and she say just a contract. I asked for print out of contract. She wonât at first. I repeatedly asked for content to read, so I know what I signed for. She said she canât print out until I signed, which is not true. I always have printout copy contract from other rental companies. After asked several times, she print out long sheet of contract, but only showed me small portion , then scrambled the paper and throw intro trash can without let me read it. I asked to read it. After I signed one, she asked me to sign another one, again I asked for to read the content of second section. Then she print our again, but only showed me the 2nd section of content. The same for 3rd section signature. She never point out the tiny print or mentioned the gas was $8.99/gallon if not full return. She told other customer itâs $2.45/gallon cheaper then gas station.
The car I got was Nissan Sentra, which has over 21k miles on it, very old compared to my other rental car before. On 3rd day before I return the car, I got it filled up at gas station. When I started the engine, the gas meter needle did not go all the way to full. So I tried to fill again, but pump stopped. So I talked to gas station staff and she told me some rental car after fill up , you need to drive to have the meter show full. So I drove away and the needle did go all the way to full. On the way to airport to return the car, I checked the meter often and fil up if necessary. It was full when driving. After I return the car. The staff said itâs not full and charged me $8.99. I tried to showed the EZ car rental staff itâs full by driving little bit and take photo, but wonât let me do so. He gave me a bill and told me to talk to front desk. I said itâs you make the charge, why didnât you make the correction? He wonât answer and took me to the front desk. The front desk has no use, did not correct the charge. I asked to talk to manager. A guy named Mat claimed he is manager. He insisted the charge. He went on the help other new customer. While I was used my phone, Matt suddenly came to me and grab my phone, throw it to hard floor. I was shocked for moment, then calm myself, went to find my phone and pick up. He came 2nd time, grab my phone , and throw it to marble floor. He threatened me to call the security if I did not leave. His violent behavior...
I wish I could give this experience 0 stars, I just left the airport after the agent completely disrespected us. I believe her name is Carolyn and she is the Asian woman with light blue contacts and braces. Initially I waited in line while she spoke with her colleagues and I happen to ask another agent if there was only one register open and then she appeared and said she was available. I reserved a compact vehicle for four days and online I went through the terms and conditions and they stated you needed your payment as well ID. I'm a resident of Florida and she stated she needed me to call and have my insurance send over my declaration but I was in a big hurry and asked if there was any other option like showing her my policy on my phone. She then said that I could login to my phone and download it but it seemed as if she didn't want to help me. Once I did this and showed it to her, she said the card would be charged for $96 for the duration of the rental and an additional $350 deposit and 39.99 to use sunpass. The card was denied multiple times leaving me baffled as this card had $1800 and was a debit which I showed her as well. She then said CHASE puts a hold at timesome for fraud and to call them but by this time she's smirking and giving me an attitude as if I've done something wrong. While I'm on the phone with chase, she's looking at the people in line as if I'm making an issue so I asked her to be nicer as I've done everything to be cooperative and her attitude worsened. She was now being blatantly rude and I was so confused because she acted as if she didn't want to be there. As he watched, my BF called enterprise and was able to get a deal through his company for a great rate. But she walked away once I told her that she was being condescending and blatantly malicious without reason and asked what I could do and what I had done. She sent someone else to us and it was too insulting to bare. As we left her friend called her back in. She was on the phone heading to the door on a break which is so convenient after how crappy she was. By the way, when she said the fraud thing, I said I loved the chase protection because it helps when people are trying to rob you and she just looked at me and said well I hate chase. Smh what a weird experience. First and last time using this rental service. Enterprise saved us. But that lady needs a complete...
Read moreE-Z CAR RENTAL RUINED MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND FOR MY 65 YEAR OLD MOTHER. My mother flew down to Florida from Pennsylvania, in which she rented a car from E-Z car rental. When she pulled up to our house the first thing I noticed that was BOTH of her front tires were COMPLETELY bald. Completely unsafe. NO TREAD AT ALL. That is on top of the car being filthy which she complained about prior to signing off, their response was "sorry we've just been so busy" What that tells me is that because we are busy we should provide sub-par service. My mother planned on driving around my 7 month old daughter, her granddaughter in her rental car. But with the tires as bald as they are that will be not happening! When I return to work Monday my mother won't be able to drive anywhere. So immediately her vacation is followed by being on the phone for 2 hours being bounced around from associate from where she picked up the car, to road-side assistance, and even their customer service office in Orlando. She was told she had to drive this UNSAFE car back and return it and that they did not have another rental to give her at the time. My mother stated she was not driving this unsafe car and that they must come pick it up and preferably drop off a new car. They refused to do it. Stating she must take the car back to them, a car with 2 front tires that were completely bald! No tread at all. Basically what e-z car rental says is risk your life for us being poorly prepared and providing dangerous services to the consumer. My poor mother was bounced around from phone number to phone number for over 2 hours Saturday and another 2+ hours on Sunday with no resolution. They wanted to pay for it to be towed back to E-Z car rentals. This is the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Not to mention the fact that they don't care about putting lives at risk. When you call there is absolutely no management you are able to speak with. Every single employee just gives you the run around and there is no conflict resolution. Easy to tell they don't care about their service or safety and they are clearly just all about the buck. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau and I recommend NO ONE USE E-Z car rental. YOU WILL RISK YOUR LIFE. Also shame on Southwest Airlines for recommending this poor excuse for a car...
