I just left this place! I called my order in ahead and immediately the person that answered the phone was extremely rude. I think he missed the training on proper phone etiquette. Nevertheless, I still placed an order because I'd never had an issue at this location. Normally, it doesn't bother me to not be greeted when walking into an establishment but since the service was bad, I'll add that I walked pass two other employees and they said nothing!
WHAT A WASTE OF ALMOST $9
I should have known something was wrong because my smoothie "angel food" was extremely watered down. Silly me not paying attention to these clues, I paid for my smoothie with a credit card. By this time I am extremely annoyed because the worker "Brad" took it upon himself to throw out my copy of the receipt. I stormed out, simply because I didn't want to be that person that cause a scene in a public place.
After taking a moment to actually taste the smoothie, I discovered that it was horrible, horrible, horrible!! I called to complain and once again Mr. Rude himself "Brad" answered. He offered to remake the shake but by this time I was already on the highway. I wanted to speak to a manager or someone to explain the events leading up to tasting this horribly thrown together concoction. Brad would not tell me who made my smoothie, although I know it had been him because he took my order, was putting the lid on my drink as I entered the store (no one else in the preparation area) and took my payment. He made a point to tell me he had no idea who made my smoothie because a lot of different ppl make smoothies in the store. Angel "store manager" I will be calling to complain further. Read moreI came in because my smoothie bowl had fallen due to me handling my 2 year old, a smoothie, and a smoothie bowl. Came back to get another smoothie bowl and not only was with guy not compassionate about what just happened, but he started preparing my smoothie bowl with no gloves. He cut up the banana, strawberry, and blueberry and literally placed it on my bowl with out gloves. I don’t know where or what this guy has been doing with his hands but is basically disgusting and will no longer be coming to this smoothie king again!!! Please educate and train your staff to have basic compassion and educate them on putting on gloves.you guys had a girl here working that was great, but I haven’t seen her any more. You guys need to really train your employees about proper hygiene and how to use gloves when working with peoples food. After about 5 minutes of standing in front of register waiting for someone to walk out of the back to take my order, no one showed up. The worker that had walked out eventually came back in with a bag of what appeared to be food finally took my order, never apologized for the wait or gave an explanation. I decided to go ahead and order anyway since I was already waiting for such a long while. I ordered a smoothie and it was disgusting. He had pumped an unnecessary amount of Stevia and that was all I was able to taste. I’m a big fan of smoothie king, but unfortunately, I don’t think I will be coming back to this location.
