I am a starbucks lover, always have been. However, recently (on the 9th) they had their happy hour deal. As soon as my daughters doctor appointment was concluded, I took her through the drive thru to get a non caffeinated frappuccino, and I ordered myself and my husband some drinks. Everything went smoothly up until I came up to the window. I was quoted the wrong price - nothing discounted so I had him fix that. Then, as I didn't understand they needed to scan my starbucks app (which I never use) I asked if it was something he needed to do for me to get the happy hour discount. He told me no, which left me frustrated and exasperated. I pulled up the price on the app originally to show him his error, where he had me buy drinks through the app instead of through him, which was what I wanted to do at the beginning. Instead of trying to help me figure out where he could just scan it, he made me hit the pay button, which I questioned him on. By this point the line is building up behind me, which I asked repreatedly if I could just park off to the side, but he kept telling me it was fine and to stay there. Then he called over the "phone expert", who was confused as to why I would pay through the app and then come through the drive thru, so I had to explain the entire situation to him. He finally understood that the person working the drive thru didn't know what he was doing, so he offered to comp one of the drinks I bought. That made me think I was getting 2 free by that point. Then the original guy came back and gave me two drinks I did NOT order so there was a couple minutes extra wait time for him to bring me what I paid for.
A couple days after this event I was checking my bank account to do my finances and I saw that I was charged $25 at starbucks instead of $11 as it should have been. Now I have to talk with them again to...
Read moreThe frustration I have with this store hit its peak today. I'm normally a patient person- I order mobile from here twice, sometimes three times, a week. For the past several weeks, I've received notification from the store that it'll be 6-10 minutes for pickup- so I order to give enough time for a 15 minute order knowing they're busy. For two weeks now I've waited an additional 15-20 minutes after arriving at the store for my mobile order- and this morning I finally had to say something and ask for a refund. I watched others walk out, including a girl who said she had been there 15 minutes before me and had been waiting a total of 30 minutes.
What's worse is that I asked for a refund, they claimed they were making it right then- and I just said I needed a refund or my drink and finally had to just walk out. I was late to work this morning because of this- and this store stole basically $8 from me because when I called, I was informed they couldn't refund me over the phone- even though I had asked twice in person and was ignored because my drink was suddenly being made. No apologies, just excuses of being understaffed and overwhelmed because they're a busy store.
As a local to the area, I won't be returning. I'd rather drive to the Outlet location or to Matthews because I've never had a single issue there with getting my order- and they're just as busy...
Read moreNovember 7th I placed a mobile order. The app told me my order was ready so I went to your store and I told the cashier I had a pick up order he said its and the end of the counter with your name on it. So I get to the end of the counter I see the drink but my sandwich is not there. I went back to the cashier and told him my sandwich wasn't there he said it will be right out and to wait at the end of the counter. Everyone else got their sandwiches and the other people who had mobile orders sandwiches was already ready to be picked up. After 10 minutes of me waiting the Barista asked me what i was waiting for and I told him a sandwich that i order on my app. The same cashier I told 10 minutes before asked what's the name on the order and finally went to the person who was making sandwiches and ask her to make my order. What's the purpose of customers ordering ahead on a mobile app if they still have to wait 10-15 minutes after it already took them 5-10 minutes to get there after the app says your order is ready. I understand your busy but this...
