Fleming's Steakhouse is an excellent restaurant in the Destin area to enjoy a gourmet meal.

We often come here for special occasions from celebrating a birthday, an anniversary or because we have just arrived back in the area after a trip.

My favorite meal here is usually a filet mignon with a baked potato and a Fleming's salad. I order the steak cooked "medium rare" and it is always brought to our table exactly as ordered. The French fries are a great accompaniment to the steak if a baked potato is not to your liking.

There used to be a prime rib special offered on a Sunday evening but, unfortunately, that is no longer on the menu.

On our most recent visit, we ate in the bar on a Thursday evening. The restaurant opens at 4 PM and we arrived just after the restaurant opened.

There used to be a happy hour with a less expensive menu in the bar that featured sandwiches, and discounts on some wines. The full menu and wine list was also available.

We were disappointed to learn that the happy hour menu is no longer available. We were still able to order an excellent hamburger, cooked perfectly and with a fresh bun. We split the burger and glasses of wine. No early evening discounts on any of the offerings—undoubtedly another casualty of the COVID virus and its impact on restaurants. As the bar was usually full and sometimes hard to find a seat, the discounted menu was very popular. We hope it will return again in the future.

Instead, there are occasionally specials on take-out orders. Admittedly, we did take-out several times when we were not allowed into the restaurant to eat by local government edict. While the food consumed at home is the same high quality, it is sometimes not hot by the time we sit down to eat and enjoying the ambiance of a nice restaurant adds to the experience.

Restaurants have been under financial stress in the past year. I anticipate we will return to the more normal patterns now that the vaccinations are becoming common and people become less afraid of the dire warnings about the virus.

In any event, Fleming's is an excellent selection for an evening out now that we are again allowed back into restaurants. Seriously consider the filet mignon or the New York Strip when dining here.

Desserts are also very tasty and enough for two people to split. Ignore the calories and...

When I made the reservation at this restaurant I wasn't expecting it to be as good as Seagar's from the reviews I've read. I thought okay let's try a new restaurant and from there I could judge which is better. So I made the reservation on 1st of January 2021, this is a "celebration" of being thankful and grateful that we survived 2020, being alive and also hoping for more good stuff to happen this year - God willing. We arrived at Fleming's at 1910hrs and our reservation is at 1915hrs. It wasn't that hard to locate this place as it was just adjacent to P.F Chang. So we were seated in a booth seat and our server was Michael. He is the best, very attention and meticulous. We were served water and I requested for Virgin Mojito( the mint leaves wasn't much or that fresh but still taste quite good) as I do not drink alcohol. He asked the bartender and it came few minutes later. We also tried their sourdough bread which was amazing. Then we placed our order with Michael- I went with certified Angus beef ribeye 14 oz topped with truffle-poached 🦞 and side of fleming's potatoes. My husband went with main filet mignon 11 Oz with side of sauteed mushrooms. When our food arrived, it was amazingly huge ribeye, cooked to perfection for medium and my husband's filet mignon was medium rare. We both tasted our steak and was just speechless. It was so delicious that my husband couldn't stopped talking about it. The fleming's potatoes (au gratin) was super delicious. I didn't try the mushrooms as I wasn't a fan of it but my husband loved them. The only downside was the lobster. It was over grilled and that made it hard. I forgave them for that as the steak made up for all that flaw. We were just astonished by how amazing and delicious the foods was. We would definitely come back again. Michael kept coming to our table to check on us and also like I said very attentive. Before we head out we ordered dessert to go - creme brulee and key lime pie - my, my,my just AMAZINGLY SWEET AND DELICIOUS! they definitely proved their worth. I've attached pictures and check this restaurant out if...

We were given an opportunity to try Fleming's in Sandestin as a redemption from a subpar experience at the Tampa location (Thank you for the opportunity Jorge!). This visit not only redeemed Fleming's for us, but far exceeded our initial expectations! We were greeted warmly and taken to our table, which was set with a birthday card and rhinestones for my husband's birthday. Our server, Jenny, was really what set our experience apart from most of the dining experiences we've had and I couldn't have waited on our table better myself (and I've been in the service industry for 10 years, so that says A LOT). Not only was she incredibly personable, she was also knowledgeable and we felt like we were with an old friend. The attention that the wait staff paid to us was outstanding; our drinks were never empty and table was never dirty with dishes. Our food came out timed perfectly for us to be able to appreciate the experience...and it truly was an experience. Fleming's easily has some of the best crab cakes that we've had, and we live in the Panhandle so seafood is a dime a dozen. The goat cheese grits under the seared pork belly...10/10! Really everything we tried was 10/10! Our steaks were cooked perfectly to temp (medium for the filet, med-rare for the NY strip) and had the most delicious char on them. Our cocktails were delicious and paired well with our meals. To top it off we finished with the lava cake, and we scraped the plate it was so good! We spent two hours here and not once ever felt like we were being rushed or an inconvenience. The manager stopped by twice genuinely and they even gifted my husband with truffles for his birthday. We truly felt welcomed and received, which was such a relief because we were skeptical to try the chain again after the first impression.

Thank you so much Jenny and all of the Fleming's staff for the hospitality! You lived up to the namesake of a Prime Steakhouse and made my husband's birthday dinner special. We will definitely be back and hope to...

This was our first time dining at a Fleming's and it was a very positive experience. We went on a Tuesday evening and there was a Tomahawk Tuesday special we tried. For two people you get to pick two salads, two sides, two desserts and share a big Tomahawk ribeye for $150. We brought our kids with us on this outing as well, and they had a 3 course kids menu. Our server was very professional, attentive and friendly to us and our children. We were given a complimentary loaf of bread with 2 kinds of butter and coloring stuff for our kids. Our cocktails were made just right, and they had blue cheese stuffed olives as any place that puts themselves out to be higher end should. Although you would be surprised how many restaurants do not carry them. We got Ceasar salads, a side of sautéed mushrooms which were a variety of mushrooms, and a loaded baked potato as our sides. Our Tomahawk was prepared medium rare as requested and came sliced to perfection, and it melted in our mouth. For desserts we ordered, the chocolate lava cake and key lime pie tart. Both desserts were delicious. My kids each got their own meal and each came with a starter of crackers, cheese and veggies, and ended with a fruit dessert platter. One got a macaroni entree and the other got a chicken tenders and fries entree. Both children really liked their meals and had leftovers. I would highly recommend the Tomahawk for 2 deal as we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, and you get a very good amount of food for $150. The service and ambience at Fleming's was totally on point. We were treated excellent and I liked all my food and drinks! So I will definitely come back here again for a nice meal when I'm back in this area visiting. Thanks for making our children and us feel welcome unlike Sealand Restaurant in FWB!
