I called them before I placed my order and spoke to one of the staff (asking to place a specific order) she told me they can't take my order and that i have to go back to their websites etc to place my order so (I mentioned that I checked that there's no way to just order a single patty-what i wanted) and she told me she wrote it down asked me to spell my name etc and that they could modify it for me as soonnas my online order comes through. Not less than 5 mins after the call, my order was ready and paid for... receiving the order, I didn't get what I asked for nor my actual order. I ordered a single cheese burger with sm fries and a rootbeer (patty only,no bun, no cheese, no lettuce) as well as a double cheese burger with sm fries and coke... I received 2 single cheese burgers, one without bun, but had lettuce and cheese, no fries, and the drinks tasted like mixed coke/root beer. I called them and they weren't helpful at all I could hear every conversation at the back (colleagues sayingg stuff like "thats her problem, if she cant call them to pick it up or she cant come get it herself we cant help her, i dont care she has to aort it out" and they were all careless including the manager expect the girl I spoke to trying to find a way to help me. She was willing to redo my order but they couldn't deliver and sheeven asked if one of them couldn'tbring it and the guy she spoke to said ni (I used Uber eats and they expected me to pay for it again and contact them to go pick the order up) that double trouble for me for an order I didn't purchase wrong. I couldn't get the correct meals and I have a toddler with my thats allergic to dairy how/what do I feed a child at night when I'm fighting over a phone at 9pm with a restaurant thats careless. I ended up not getting anything but a scammed number that they gave me for Uber eats, and after the restaurant didn't take my calls anymore. I dont have any transportation to go pick up the food, which I would've dont if I had any, but I mean seriously. The 800* is the Uber eats number they gave me that ended up being a number for some accidental coverage. And again, I've been trying to order food since 6:45. The food arrived at 7:40, and just under 2 hours later, nothing. Seriously if they just acknowledge and not made it my problem actually trying to help that wouldve been so much better but yeah...
Read moreI came about 6 months ago, horrible experience. Terrible slow service. Do not come to table to acknowledge your existence let alone take an order. Came back tonight. I am currently in the restaurant right now. It has been 30 minutes sitting down and a server came over not to greet us or ask for our orders, but to ask us to move tables. Still no sign of ever having our order taken. Servers are all in back talking and arguing with kitchen staff, mind you, it is now 1 am and there is only 1 family in the restaurant. They do not care about service! ——now 1:30 at mcdonalds—— Another hour has passed.... didn’t think it was possible but it got worse. Other families came in and were immediately greeted and served. While witnessing another family get up and leave, the “server” in the restaurant was kicking trash from around other tables in our direction. She came up to us after noticing us staring and asked very rudely “do you need something?”. And I said “yea we need to order” and she snapped back “oh you ready now” and then felt the need to argue. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” My response was “it isn’t my job to flag down service”, she continued to be very rude and argue back “you said you needed a minute, I would come back when you were ready”. Only, the story ends in her not coming back in 45 minutes to an hour, completely forgetting about us and rubbing in the fact that she had other tables come in and serving them before returning to us. And proceeding to argue with us as a guest... how hospitable. Then walking behind the drink station to talk about us loud enough for us to hear. How welcoming. Great service. We followed the other couple and walked out as well. As I read other reviews, I see the midnight server often uses the excuse “I’m the only one here”. As did our server. Mind you, 3 tables total, 2 cooks, the sever, and 2 other servers in the back talking amongst themselves. She was far from alone, and even if, 3 tables is no reason not to even acknowledge a table. Once again, terrible service, maybe coming back in 6 months was too soon. Horribly managed establishment. As I live in Orlando, this is the closest Steak ‘n Shake and has horrible reviews compared to others around the area in which I have had decent experiences. This location specifically needs to be looks at by the franchise. I don’t understand how it’s meeting...
Read moreI'm giving 1 star, and honestly, I'm being generous. We have visited this location multiple times in the past few years whenever visiting the area, and it's always been a pleasant experience. But, this week, we have visited this place twice and both times the experience was absolutely horrible. The first time this week we thought maybe it was just a bad staffing day or something, so we decided to give it another try, being that we have always had good experiences there during our previous visits there. But, after today's visit, all 6 of us came out of there extremely disappointed. First off, it took an extremely long time to be acknowledged by anyone, let alone be seated. It took a very long time to recieve our drinks as well as our food. Mine and my mother's burgers were extremely greasy, as the grease was constantly running down our arms with each bite that we tried to take. My father's milkshake was so watery and thin, almost like it was melted before it even came to the table. The place is so poorly staffed and the staff that works there is just not attentive in the slightest bit. The floors were filthy dirty and sticky. My shoes were sticking to the floor as I was walking. They look like they haven't been washed in months, literally. There was garbage on the floor, under the tables, under the chairs and booths. The windows were so dirty and greasy looking. The condiment holder on our table was thickly covered in some type of black dirt, grit or grease. So much so, that there appeared to be some debris, fuzz or hair stuck to the condiment holder. The mustard bottle had globs of crusty, dried up mustard running down the sides of the bottle. The salt and pepper shakers were nasty and greasy. My son had to use the men's room and it was disgusting according to my husband. I personally didn't want to stay there and eat, but my children really wanted stay because they've always enjoyed their milkshakes. Honestly, I think this was my last visit until changes are made for the better. Until then, they've lost my family as customers. So...
