Sushi Lico — Restaurant in Florida

Unfortunately, I used to be a frequent customer of this place and the food and service has always been superb.

Tonight, I placed my order at 6:42 pm and was told it would be ready by 7:42 pm. I waited 2.5 hours for my order to be ready. While waiting, when asked if I could be refunded my $100 order, I was told i would have to leave my information and they would refund it “tomorrow”. I chose to wait on my order not knowing I would actually get a refund tomorrow. Multiple orders placed after mine were done and completed prior to mine. I then proceeded to ask an employee why my order was taking more than two hours and her response was “well I’ve been here too”. No respect for customers and absolutely no concept of customer service.

My order then began being prepared and bagged at the front desk, because I saw the bags with the receipt which included my name. When I asked the same employee what was taking so long (it had already been 40 mins since I last asked), she took my bag of already prepared meals, moved them from my sight, got my receipt and ripped it and tossed it in the trash.

I have never in my life been treated so poorly by a restaurant and even less would I expect it from a restaurant like this. I have genuinely loved and supported this small business for over 5 years however, after tonight, they will no longer receive any...

I ordered from them through UberEATS. I never received my order. The driver said they never picked up my order. The restaurant said it was picked up. I have worked for UberEats in the past and the restaurant is supposed to hand off the food to the driver and confirm that the order is going to the right driver. When I call the restaurant the lady I spoke to said “Oh yeah I thought it was weird because your order was not coming up in our system. Actually, your order was picked up. You’re going to have to call Uber since we are not liable for your order after it leaves the restaurant.” Then why mention that you couldn’t find my order in your system? Then when I call again after it was finally cancelled BY THE RESTAURANT, the same lady I spoke to earlier was extremely condescending. I wanted to know what was happening. She says that “It does not make sense that we would cancel your order after the order was picked up.” Funny because you said that you couldn’t find my order earlier? I know things are crazy with COVID but I do not appreciate the unprofessionalism and complete disregard for customer service. She even said it was possible for another driver to take the wrong order! Sushi lico was phenomenal! I live by the area and couldn't believe how spectacular the food was. I ordered a pad Thai and was blown away on how authentic it tasted, I had to call to let them know how good the food was. I've had many pad Thai's in my life and this is as good as my favorite Thai spot due to how close to the real deal it is without leaving the country. The food was so good it had me coming back a 2nd time the next day just to try out their sushi and a Thai tea. My wife and I were blown away on how good the sushi tasted and how authentic the Thai tea tasted. Thai tea is hit or miss for me, with me only enjoying from a local mom and pop Thai restaurant, but this place matched that flavor and consistency that I crave. I will be going back soon to try some of their other Thai dishes but now knowing that some of the chefs are Thai, I know the food will taste amazing.
