Tonight my friends and I decided to celebrate a birthday at this location, and the manager on duty was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. We started as a party of 3, and then told the hostess that we were actually going to be a party of 4. They went ahead and sat us down because our fourth member was finding a parking space. When we got seated, we told our server that we had one more coming, and that we would wait to order until he arrived. Eventually we ordered and were enjoying our meal. One of my party members partners got off work and swung by to pick them up, but we were still eating when they got there, so we told him to come in and sit with us until we got our check. About 5 minutes after he sat down at our table, the manager—who didn't ask us a single question or give her name—came up to our table, interrupted our conversation, and told us that she, "will not serve additional party members because we were only a party of 3 and we (Texas Roadhouse) have a long waitlist." And then proceeded to rush off before we could address her. Once our server came back to check on us, I asked him to grab his manager because I wanted to speak to her. When she got to our table, she was extremely aggressive and short with us. I then asked her to restate what she had said when she previously approached our table, and she repeated herself once more. I then shared with her that, as someone who works in the service industry and has worked in the restaurant business, that I didn't appreciate her approach to the table when she came up the first time. She then proceeded to roll her eyes, and explain to me that we were "taking up a table she needed for a nine top," and that she "didn't have time for us to order anything else." Now, my friend's partner hadn't planned on ordering anything, but she didn't know that. I then tried to explain to her that he wasn't going to be ordering, and that we were paying customers trying to enjoy our dinner. She then told us to "wrap it up". We hadn't been there but maybe an hour and a half on a Saturday night, and the only reason we were still there was because we were waiting on the check. The only thing she said to me was that she was "sorry I felt that way" and "she had a business to run". She left our table and continued to hover over us before she sent a busser to clean our table while we were still sitting there, waiting for the checks. Once we paid our checks, we left. But I have never been so upset and felt like I had been pushed out of a restaurant before. She was extremely rude, lacked management skills, and made myself and my party feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. I understand being busy, but diminishing and dismissing your customers to their faces and telling them to get up while food is still on their table? Absolutely ridiculous. The disrespect spoke for itself and we won't be coming back...
Read moreI want to preface this review by stating that Luis, our server, was fantastic and was the only reason why we stayed and didn't get up and walk out after dining at this location. Now back to one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a LONG time. We arrived at 745pm and I put our name in and was told a half hour wait and I would get a text. Waited an hour then asked and was told something happend and we were labeled an incomplete party so our reservations were canceled. Waited another 15 minutes to be seated after that. Mind you we have 2 small babies under the age of 3. Upon sitting down we let the Luis know we had brought our own wine with us and wanted to pay a corkage fee. We were told some garbage that the manager wouldn't let us open our own wine or pay a corkage fee.... weird we go to our local texas road house in NY and they always allow us and don't charge. We purchased a bottle of josh. We were given two wine glasses that had lipstick on them and sent em back for Clean ones. New wine glasses also had lipstick so had To walk up to the bar and grab more. We then tried ordering potato skins and another appetizer but were told they were all out. We ended up settling for the greasy onion blossom.. it was OK. My 1 year then had to go to the bathroom and we then found out the line for the bathroom was over a half hour wait because the main bathroom was closed. You have to line up and block the kitchen entrance so servers can't get to the kitchen all while you wait and stumble over forks and steak knives that litter the floor in that area and not one person seems to care. So odd. Even the male servers were using this ONE bathroom for hundreds guests. My 1 year old son wet himself standing in line. Yeah so that was awesome. One of the employees was in there for about 20 minutes doing God knows what. Next I ordered prime rib. Was told their machine was broke. Greatttt. Ended up settling for something I didn't want and was given an overcooked well done steak with RAW uncooked veggies. Asked our server if they were suppose to be raw and he said they must have grabbed the wrong uncooked ones. After a quick microwave our nuked veggies arrived unedible. We ended up settling our bill around 1045 pm. Very long and not a pleasurable night out on our last day in Orlando. We come twice a year for the parks and to dine but most likely won't be back to this location. Thank you to Luis for trying even though it was beyond...
Read moreThe food was very bad! I ordered the 16 ounce Prime Rib that was about at 6:15 PM rare. They came out even though they had not been opened very long and said they only now have it medium. I said I would like to see what it Looked like. They brought a very small piece to try out. It was Okay so I ordered it. But when the full order came out it was medium well done and it was mostly all fat and gristle to tough to eat and it had a very bad burned nasty taste. Then I ordered the ribeye steak that was also terrible with an even worse nasty burned taste and again most was to bad to eat because of all the Gristle. I had even cut the pieces up quite small, but the meat was so tough that chewing and chewing did little to break it down. A good steak that is expensive should not have much gristle. Gristle is an unpleasant surprise in a bite of meat, a fibrous bit you may end up spitting in your napkin.
Also the loaded potato the bacon it had was very hard like gravel and had to spit it out.
It is like they used nasty Charcoal Briquettes for all their food that was made using nasty chemicals or other lighter fluids to make starting easier which I ending up tasting this nasty stuff what they burn it with because of the additives used when making briquettes.
My girlfriend ordered the full rack of Ribs that came out ice cold! She sent it back and they came back with the same Ribs hot but now over cooked. Also her loaded potato the bacon it was very hard like gravel and had to spit it out. The drink she ordered was okay.
Even the small side salad had a strong bad nasty horseradish taste type of dressing on it.
The eight year old child's steak she said was okay.
They did take off the bad food from the bill, but it ruined our dinners.
If you still want to risk going there, call and make reservations or you may be waiting a long time to be seated.
I have been here before year's ago and it was okay then. I would avoid now this terrible restaurant. Has become a Tourist Trap restaurant. These touristy restaurants tend to stick together and are often lined up in one long chain (often near a landmark), hence the begging you to...
