Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Florida

I've been a fan of Tijuana Flats for many years, but had a not so great take-out experience tonight. Many elements were spot on. The queso is still super tasty and I was happy they included extra chips with the a large queso, sometimes that gets overlooked. Other elements of food quality were good to very good, but packaging and attention to detail was lacking.

1st, they forgot the sour cream on the burrito. I went back and checked the order, yep, forgotten.

2nd, the enchiladas were pretty darn cold. I suspect these were prepped first and sat while the rest of the order was completed. I understand that food temp is hard to manage on take-out orders, but these were approaching room temperature. Queso was hot, so why not the enchiladas?

3rd, we ordered a bottle of hot sauce that was loosely put in a paper bag and shoved into the top of the plastic bag. The plastic bag was then tied in a knot. I cut the bag open (had to) and as soon as I did the hot sauce slid out of the paper bag and on the floor. Glass bottles on the bottom maybe? The bottle cracked and had to go.

We also tried the limited time only parmesan-garlic wings. There was an overall lack of flavor on the wings. You can see some parmesan and you get a hint of garlic, but that's about it. They were essentially plain. I also asked to try the chipotle BBQ sauce as a note in the order, that was disregarded.

I hope this feedback helps. I'll go again, but maybe not get take-out from this location for a while. I am still a fan and hope this...

Now I ordered a 2 for $20 that is a new Monday Special. It comes with 2 drinks, extra sauce, and entrees. When the order was delivered it didn’t have the sauce or the drinks. I called the restaurant, spoke with the manager and he said I would receive a free entree on my next visit. So I asked if it would come with a drink, since I paid for two with my last order. Surprisingly he said it did not come with a drink. When questioned he said those drinks were free with my last order. Now I don’t want to get picky, but when you order a combo meal, the price of the entire order is discounted as a sum total of the items in the order. He said to just ask for a manager and request the drinks. It’s just doesn’t seem right to request something that was not included in my last order which is the entire reason I made the call. This is a Mexican restaurant located on Jog Road and Lantana Road just south of Lantana the food is okay here not the greatest there's better places around very expensive for what you get chips come with everything even if you don't want them if you want to exchange them for beans and rice or something like that fanxchange of you have to pay for the difference to get rice and beans free parking here so if you'd like to get average food Mexican food this is the place for you they have an inside restaurant area and they have an outside patio to eat as well if you like hot sauces they have all kinds of hot sauces to choose from I got a chicken chimichanga it probably wasn't more than five or six pieces of chicken in chimichanga it was packed full of beans I didn't like that very well I was supposed to be lots of chicken in it and I'm not one to b** about it but I think it was...
