Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

No problems with the food, but service could be better. I ordered online and dropped by to pick up my order, which I often do at other locations when I'm out an in a hurry. No one greeted me as I walked up to the counter, and when I indicated I was picking up an online order the young man behind the counter just pointed to a table. My order was the only one there, which made it easy to sort out at least.

There was no cooler to keep smoothies cold like other locations have, so mine was beginning to melt. When I had a chance to sit down and eat, I realized they'd not included a side item in the bag. When picking up at other locations, they always ask what type of chips/fruit I would like as they hand me my order.

Unless I'm horribly pressed for time, I'll probably drive a couple of miles extra to visit one of the other...

Since it Opened I've never had a bad experience with the staff or products till today. Not sure if it was a Bad or wonky day as the past week has been wierd at my work all week. My Husband tried to suprise me with a Mocha Madness with an Energy Boost. One of my 2 regular orders, but when I got it, it tasted like the yogurt was soured. After my shift I went back to them to tell them my Smothie was soured. I was told that because I get an energy boost it makes it take differently. That the yogurt was okay and since they guy working did not make it he could not confirm if it was made correctly. So I ended up tossing out a whole smoothie - about 5 sips. I've never had anything but a positive experience at this location. I've been in there numerous times since they opened and I've found the location to be clean and bright and the service good until excellent (not everyone was made to be in the service industry) As for the reports of smells of rotting produce, I've never experienced that. I admit that my sense of smell may not be the most acute, but I've been in with my bloodhounds (hubby and son) and they are hypersensitive to all smells and they've gladly gotten smoothies and food there without a single mention of any smells that were offensive.
