Last month July 20 I went to Tu Candela Kendall. They have a special of $195.00 per bottle before 11 pm. We went to celebrate a bday party. We made it a point to get there at 1030pm to ensure we would save on the bottle. After 11pm the bottle would have cost us $250 dollars.
I must tell you the music in this place is lit. The staff is super fun and everyone was so nice but the General Manager What a character this guy is.
At about 2AM in the morning a third bottle with the condition they would leave it at 195.00 like the previous 2 and they agreed. I bought one hooka with three refills for about about 25.00 a pop, when they told me refills were going to cheaper.
When the bill came up. General Manager was charging the bottle at 250 dollars each. When I told the waitress it was wrong. He ate her alive and didn’t have the decency of addressing me. He reluctantly gave me the prices that agreed upon a week in advance. The General Manager claimed we went to the club after 11 which a total lie. However all this back and forth the waitress was involved. He wouldn’t talk to me even thought I was right in front of him. Never once said he said thank you. He made me feel like if I was a menace. He made feel like if I wasn’t worth of his personal explanation. For some reason I felt that Even thought I dropped $791.00 I shouldn’t be back cause they make more money without me. He really ruined the night.
Later I found out through their website he is the big boss. Wow! That’s sad.
He killed the entire vibe for us. We left immediately. Even thought we had a half of bottle left. We told our guest to drink it.
They still overcharged us for “free” champagne they gave us and at the end I over paid over $100.00
Do not order and leave a tab open. I recommend to CLOSE the tab immediately after ordering. They will try to over charge you.
It is a pity cause everything went so smooth until we had to deal with the bill. Very sad, since we have two more bday parties to plan and we will have to find another place based on principle. Thank you Jose or whatever the Manager name was for ruining it for us.
The one star is a reflection of treatment of Manager not treatment of staff. You did make $100 more from me but you lost another...
Read moreAnother one will soon bite the dust ..... If you don't know it by now for a club to make it's home at The Palms at Town & Country it has to be Hot, not lukewarm but Hot! Sorry, this club doesn't make the cut. From its cheap decorative tables which resemble Lobster traps to the "DJ" who looked like he's just playing a prerecorded mixed tape, uninspiring to say the least and by the 3rd-hour songs were already repeating. If you feel like dancing you have very few choices of where to do it. There's a 20x15 dance floor which with about 30 people on it looked full to capacity. Some of the floor space is taken up by those Lobster trap tables again which no one was using cause they had "Reserved" on it. Sorry, I was there all night and whoever "Reserved" those Lobster traps didn't show up. Clubgoers had no choice but to dance in the aisles while bumping into waiters, and waitresses tending to the guests. I use the term Guest very loosely cause event tho there's a big sign in the entrance that states absolute no cover. There's an entrance bar which you have to make a stop and buy a 10 dollar drink, beer or bottle of water. Some people were getting annoyed by waiting to get in while two bartenders working to bar were getting everyone there drinks, a couple of couples just said the hell with this and left. I mean if there's a one drink minimum to get in, just take my ten bucks and hand me a token for a drink and I'll get my drink from the bar inside. I saw those bartenders on there phones all night cause no one was ordering drinks that's how dead this place was. Sorry, can't recommend this place when clubs twice as good have turned their lights off. Hopefully, management takes this review seriously and makes those must needed adjustments, unlike TuCandela there's absolutely no cover for...
Read moreMusic was good but very disappointed at their prices for drinks. And that wasn't the worst part . When we asked for a glass of water the waiter bought a glass of ice and a bottled water which he opened and poured and then said when asked why a bottle water he gave some excuse and said that it would be $3 for bottled Water. My friend did tell him that that was unacceptable and that he should have given us the option of whether we wanted to buy the bottle water or not. It was a regular 16 oz bottle. For 3 bucks I could have gone to B j's and bought 40 of those Bottles. One thing I did have a good time with my friend And it was nice getting together with her once again. In my opinion that would be price gouging. I'm never going back there again. And I understand that in the industry of clubs and liquor that it's all the same when you go out. And it's not that I'm cheap because I'm not, it's just that when i see that I am getting ripped off I'd rather Go somewhere with my own liquor preparations and not have to pay any establishment their outragous prices. Pack up my car go to Hollywood beach hang on the boardwalk where there's music and do my dancing in the street. $75 for 4 drinks. And then the waiter kept Asking us if we wanted to eat something. If I told you no the 1st time and I told you no the 2nd time and told you that we would let you know a little bit later on, I would expect that you would stop bothering. When I get hungry I know how to wave you down and order what...
