Worst experience at an Outback. Ever. I was first greeted with a terribly filthy bathroom experience. Then the waiter takes forever to get our drinks to us. But when we finally get our drinks he tells us "This may or may not be a diet Coke". So I try it, and sure enough, it's diet when I had ordered a regular. If I was a waiter, and I misplace my customer's drinks, I'm not going to make them play a mystery soda trivia game, I'm gonna pour them a new f*ing drink. The waiter then proceeds to clean and wipe off the dirty table next to us WITH HIS HANDS..... how disgusting! We then wait another 30 minutes for our food orders to finally come out, and when they finally do, the food looks like it had been sitting for at least 10-15 minutes (I used to work as a cook, so I know exactly what that food looks like). So this gentlemen had no shame in serving us old food that was freezing cold. My mashed potatoes tastes like they had came right from the fridge. At this point my appetite was almost completely destroyed, but I was so hungry that I had to eat. I told the server to please heat up my food after waiting again another 10 minutes with cold food in my face. He finally takes it and gives it back a couple minutes later. Now my food looks like it was put in the microwave for an extended period of time to the point where my asparagus was completely inedible, my mashed potatoes were rubber, and my steak was completely dry. The manager came and put me in an awkward situation where instead of telling me what he was gonna do to help/compensate, he was waiting for me to ask him what I wanted.. as if he was starting a business negotiation. The server then comes back and tells us that we get to pick a dessert of our choice, so we choose the cookie and ice cream thingy. He comes back later and tells us that he's out of that, and they're out of the brownie one too, the only 2 that we wanted. So after all of that they decide to take one of the meals off the check and the manager hardly is able to give a sincere apology. What a sorry excuse for a restaurant and shame on the staff from top to bottom for their carelessness and negligence. PS I forgot to mention that my utensils, plates, and table were all smeared with food and it was a repulsive environment to eat in, I truly felt...
Read moreThe Outback Steakhouse in Kendall, Florida was the setting of an unquestionably testing dining experience that will not soon be forgotten. Spanning over two and a half hours, this outing was marked by an array of challenges that included unexpected delays, unimpressive service, and disappointingly substandard food, which unfortunately culminates in a three-star review.
The onset of our evening was marred by a 40-minute wait before our order was finally taken, an initial delay that somewhat set the tone for the remainder of our visit. The waiter’s apathetic demeanor throughout our meal added to our sense of neglect and dissatisfaction.
The arrival of our salad, an unappetizing display of vegetables submerged in an overabundance of dressing, further deflated our hopes of an enjoyable meal. The expected refreshing, crisp flavors were unfortunately lost beneath the heavy dressing, undermining the dish's potential.
The prime rib, a dish I was particularly looking forward to, was another disappointing chapter in our dining experience. Its failure to meet my expectations necessitated its return, further compounding our disillusionment.
Yet, there was a flicker of hope amid the general discontent. In response to our growing list of grievances, the restaurant dispatched Lily, a true professional who made an earnest effort to rectify our evening. Her attentiveness, empathy, and sincere dedication to resolving our concerns stood as a shining example of the service we originally anticipated.
Despite a disheartening start at the Outback Steakhouse in Kendall, Florida, Lily’s intervention offered a chance for redemption. Her exceptional service provided a glimmer of hope in an otherwise lackluster evening. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, the shortcomings of the evening could not fully be forgotten, thus leading to the decision to award a three-star review. My hope is that, in future visits, the entire experience will reflect the level of dedication and service Lily exhibited, and we can revisit this rating with a more...
Read moreUpdated may 2022, gradually worse. This time around my family and I waited 30 minutes for a waiter to even notice us.. Her excuse was I'm new and one told me this was my table.(not the best attitude, but we understood) we proceeded to place the order...15 min passed, mam we ran out of Ribs, we order on one of the meals replanting the ribs with Short Rib steak, 10 more min no short rib, nor coconut shrimp... Again we change the order, And an hour and 45 min later no food, no manager, not even an apology... A waiter named Jose passed by us and asked if everything was OK...I said not really and I asked him to please call the mananger for us since our food had not been served and had been waiting for one hour and 45 min. After an additional 20 min of waiting they brought out our food and we rejected it... As it had now been over 2 hours. Still no manager, Jose (not our original waiter) went into the kitchen and packed the kids meal so our kids could at least eat. I asked who the manager was and walked towards him. After explaining all of the above, I said I didn't want free food... We were there for a service and a great meal... His response was I'M TRYING TO HELP FIGURE OUT YOUR ORDER AND NOT CHARGE YOU. FOR WHAT YOU DIDN'T EAT... AGAIN NO APOLOGY, I asked him if he realized the issue in the restaurant he was managing... Very laid back attitude I UNDERSTAND THAT'S WHY I'M TRYING TO REMOVE THESE ITEMS FROM YOUR ORDER... Looking at his screen while he spoke. Wow great managing skills I said I would be waiting at my table for the bill. Another 10 min passed our original waitress brings us the ticket... A rib which we didn't eat was still in our order.... Now arriving home and seeing the food that was going to be served to out kids... It's a disgrace (pics attached)
(March 2022)Love the food and service once seated. Wish we didn't have to wait over an hour with empty tables because as the host likes to say we are short in staff and it's a weekend. The wait is...
