Avoid this Wendy's on Fairfield drive like the plague. I had now three bad experiences in a row. The first one involved the new Cobb salad. I ordered it paid for it and was standing there waiting on it, and then a guy from the back yells to the guy at the register that they don't have enough ingredients for a Cobb salad. So I told the cashier that I wanted to cancel my order, and he did give me a refund but by that time there were several other people in line and I had to wait till he cleared those transactions out to be able to get my refund, it was a disaster. Bad experience number two was less than three weeks later. I walk in the door to place an order and the lady at the order station quickly blurts out "It's going to be 10 minutes. (As in they were backed up) while she said 10 minutes it was obvious it was going to be much longer than that, and that was just ten minutes before I could even order. It was like she was trying to talk me out of placing my order, and it worked because I and the patron behind me just turned around and left. I went to a different Wendy's on highway 98 and was given a prompt and courteous service. I will never go back to the Wendy's on Fairfield drive.
The third horrible experience: Well I should have took my own advice, but decided to give this Wendy's another chance to even measure up to being a fair fast food restaurant,,,,but no that didnt happen this time either. The cashier was in the dining room when I walked up to the register. He put his broom and cleaning supplies up and started taking my order, I got a cob salad and an order of chicken nuggets. I paid and stepped over to wait for my order. He got my salad, and then told me that there were only 2 nuggets and would have to wait until more were up. The he started taking the order from a lady behind me and it was a very complicated but small order, changing things several times, and asking how much extra this and that would cost. The cashier was very young, inexperienced, and seemed like he had only been working there or a few days, he was trying, but definitely needed to be supervised, no fault of his own. He didnt know how to do what the needy lady wanted him to do, so he had to go get the manager lady,,,which took a long while, all the while I see three baskets of nuggets go through and out the drive through window, while I wait, and wait, and wait. He and manager finally came back, and she got the needy lady taken care of and then he went and got my order completed with the other 4 of the six nuggets needed to complete it. So not very happy about the long wait, I leave. Well as it turns out, the original 2 of the nuggets sitting in the pack were stone cold and gross tasting, and he did not give me any salad dressing or utensils and other items that supposed to come with the Cob Salad. So I seriously am done, 3 out of three horrible visits back to back is only going to bring more horrible visits. Dont waste your time just to get horrible service, long waits, and cold food and not get any of the typical condiments that are supposed to come with the order. Try Whataburger next door. They have better service, their food is fresher, they are faster, and the food...

It was about 8pm and for ONCE, the drive thru was empty. As I turned in, EVERY employee that worked that night was outside talking. I drove around to order. I sat there for a few minutes before I decided to drive back around to where they were talking to somebody in an SUV. The Hispanic/white guy wanted to be the hero that night. I CALMLY told them that I had been waiting in drive thru and asked were they still open. His smart mouth @$$ said "nobody knew you were around". I took a deep breath before saying: "I just past right by you!"🤬🤬🤬 He said " ok, go back around and someone will take your order", so I drove back around and sat there AGAIN and nobody STILL took my order. The Marine in me drove BACK around there and told them that I was calling corporate on Monday and let them know how they are running this restaurant. Did I mention that I had placed a mobile order that I had to cancel? I ended up going to the Wendy's on Hwy 29. On God, they need to throw the WHOLE restaurant away. Just because you remodel does not mean the customer service was upgraded as well. It don't make ANY sense that no matter WHEN YOU go there, unless it's in the daytime- you get messed up food with a side of attitude.*
If I could give this review a -10, that STILL would be too kind. The first thing that pissed me off was the fact that when I placed my mobile order, I SPECIFICALLY STATED that I wanted it through the drive thru. This Wendy's is the ONLY ONE that makes you come inside to pick up your order. If I have to come INSIDE, WHY even have an option to pick up in the drive thru? Next was the customer service. I walked in and there were SIX PEOPLE back there and they were ALL just standing around. The girl at the register was VERY irritated and seemed to be the only one working. Next thing was the time it took then to fix my order. I was inside 15 minutes waiting on ONE HAMBURGER. NOW, I'm REALLY pissed. And last but not LEAST, the bacon on my baconator was crumbled up bacon scraps. I didn't even take it back because Wendy's is already quite a distance away and I was hungry. It NEVER FAILS, just about every time I go to that location, they get my order wrong. I will not be going back to that...

My wife hates coming here.
We love Wendy's, but this location is the worst.
The parking area is awful, the traffic is always bad right around them, and I feel like I'm not welcome as soon as staff lay eyes on me. My wife says the same thing. Each time we have visited, the staff is almost exclusively black and they are either openly (and loudly) complaining about customers or goofing around until they see me or my wife. The same can be said of the majority of customers I have seen inside.
I'm a white male, and my wife is Filipino. Whether we have gone in together or alone, the mood in the building just turns sour as soon as someone working here sees us. Once, after standing at the counter for ten minutes one time without anyone even saying they would be over in a moment, we left. Another time, I walked in and started to say "hello" to the lady at the register and was met with "aw, hell no" before I got the word from my mouth. I'm not saying this is a racial thing, but it sure seems that way. The only time I get service is using the drive-thru, and the staff look annoyed to see me when I get to the window, while I hear them chatting with dark-skinned customers in the cars ahead of me.
I don't like that it's the only conclusion I can come to, but this is HIGHLY unprofessional behavior, no matter their reasons, identities, or affinities. Of all the times I have visited this Wendy's, I have only gotten sub-par food in three instances. Not to say that the other times were good, but that I could visit a dozen times and would be served only three of those visits... and each was very low-quality.
We live about 5 minutes down the road, but my wife insists on driving all the way to Highway 98 instead. If I get a Wendy's craving while sitting within line of sight to this Wendy's I'll just get McDonald's on the next block instead. This is THE WORST Wendy's location I have ever visited. My wife just texted me from the parking area and said she refuses to go back because of the looks she got walking in the door just now. She is on her way to the Highway 98 location from her job just off of Fairfield and 12th.
What should be a convenient, friendly place to get some decent food on the way home is simply a hostile environment that we refuse...
