Attention Popeyes, McDonald's, Burger King and everyone else: I am in the middle of devouring my first meal from Zaxby's and I'm here to tell you that all of you have serious competition... finally! AND they're waaaaay better than you in every way. I ordered chicken strips and crinkle cut fries online and picked them up on my dinner break. Even though there was a significant line I was able to get through it in about 5/6 minutes. Their customer service is impeccable. The people who have been hired to work at Zaxby's are clearly professionals because they were cool under pressure and courteous and kind even joked a little but never missed a beat with delivering customer service, the kind that makes you want to come back; something none of you have been able to do earnestly for the year that I've been here thus far. Yes, that's right, their food is five stars across-the-board flavor and everything --and the drive through is immaculate, pothole-free and efficient; which means now I know who I'm going to order from the next time I don't feel like cooking. Here's a hint: not you Popeyes with your long lines and terrible past experiences, and definitely not you Burger King with your potholes and ridiculous missing menu items and lighting and certainly not you McDonald's with your overpriced underwhelming food Zaxby's is in the house & you'd better...
Read moreI liked it. I don't eat 'fast food' often; the grease, the sterile atmosphere, the boring food turn me off of those places, not to mention the caloric overload most bring. But finding a place to eat that my teenager agrees with can be ..... problematic. I had seen this spot repeatedly - and had thrown the idea at him several times - but had not stopped. We found ourselves nearby and decided to try it. Similar food offerings to a different chicken restaurant that is never open on Sundays, the vibe is more homey, kind of like 'BBQ place meets fast food'. Staff was quite friendly, actually smiling on a Saturday afternoon. Food was properly made, hot, tasty and the Zax's sauce has a great flavor to it as well as a spicier version which I will definitely try next time. There isn't anything particularly special on the menu, grilled and fried chicken & a few sides but wasn't expecting more, honestly. Access is easy, with curb cuts/ramps and plenty of room to navigate inside for wheelchairs & crutches. Booths & tables make up...
Read moreTonight was only our second time eating at Zaxby’s. The first time was super delicious but tonight I don’t know what happened but the food was terrible. We both had the classic chicken sandwich meal and the chicken was over cooked and tuff and chewy and needed a magnifying glass to find the pickles, and the bun was soggy. Now the fries were under cooked and soggy and the Dr Pepper was more seltzer water than Dr Pepper. It’s to late for us as it was so bad we won’t be back but maybe this review will help them realize the changes needed to have better quality control before they lose more customers. Good luck Zaxby’s update: thought we would give Zaxby’s another try and it will be our last. Took forever to get our food and it was wrong, I got the Philly grilled chicken sandwich and it was so salty and the fries were even more salty, no napkins, Soda tasted more like soda water than an actual drink. We have learned our lesson that Zaxby’s will never improve. So goodbye...
