I walked in at about 7:56pm. I was 2nd in line. The guy ordering took forever to order because everything he wanted was sold out.
When it was time to order, I was greeted, placed my meat order. I went to order my sides and wanted to know what was available. The lady behind the counter said with a nasty attitude, "well we're actually closed". I didn't realize since the door was open and people were still ordering.
I apologized for not realizing and some nice man said it was okay. I was truly sorry because I didn't realize.
I ordered what was available.
My items were placed on a tray and given to me.
I went to pay for my food and was asked if I was dining in. I found to be weird since they were techni closed.
I told her "to go". She took my tray and they bagged my items.
My total for $26.13 for brisket sandwich, 2 sides and a bottle drink.
The food was decent. Brisket was good. Sides are decent. The sides are all the same size whether with the meal or extra. A few ounces at the most. Very small.
It's the next day and I receive a notification from my bank that I was charged $5.23 for a tip. Making my total $31.36 for one meal.
I DID NOT AUTHORIZE A TIP SINCE I DID NOT DINE IN!
BEWARE OF THIS! I'm not sure if it's an automatic thing when the ticket is set to "dine in" but BEWARE!
and on the receipt, the tip is almost hidden so I didn't notice. My authorized total is very clear, however.
I don't like that. That is very SCAMMY.
This was likely my last time visiting. I don't frequent most Florissant restaurants because it's always...
Read moreOrdered take out directly through their website. Half a rack of ribs that came with garlic bread and 2 sides. I live about 10 minutes away from the restaurant and the food I received was not far off cold. Not sure if that's a restaurant issue or a DoorDash issue.
The garlic bread smelled like cheese, and was just a sort of damp toasted thing that in no way had any taste of garlic. The french fries were ok, just standard fries. The ribs however, they tasted nice but they seemed like they were boiled. They were chewy, none of the fat was rendered, I had to really pull the meat off, and I actually couldn't eat the tip of the meat as it was just SO dry. I've had better at Longhorn. Certainly not...
Read moreThe food was delicious! It's what we've come to expect from Sugarfire. It was busy, as expected for a new restaurant, but the line went quickly. We...
