Nice and simple. Inexpensive. That's how my son described it.
Everything we got was tasty and as expected. Good coffee. I had the number 5, the "budget breakfast" sandwich (one egg, one bacon, cheese) on a biscuit. I loved the crunchy bacon.
My friends got a different variety of their breakfast sandwiches, two eggs, cheese, bacon, one on a bagel and one on bread, and they both happily finished them off.
Of course, I had to try the donut grilled cheese. Yes, American cheese, in between a doughnut that was split in half and griddled. It was a strange sensation, the salty cheese with the really sweet doughnut, crispy and caramelized on the outside and still soft on the inside. It's something everyone should have once in their life, lol.
Oh, we also got one of their old-fashioned donuts, which is my barometer for how good a donut place is. It was a good donut. I was surprised it was the shape of a long john rather than a round donut, but it was quite enjoyable.
I will have no problem going...
Read moreMy husband and I had never been here but had heard a lot of good things from our friends at church. When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest lady behind the counter. I believe she is the owner. I felt like I was in Mayberry!! She knew everybody who came in and asked how their family was doing. What a rarity and a gem!! Very cozy family oriented atmosphere! And the food was fabulous!! We weren't sure that a donut place would have good breakfast food. But we ordered the biscuits and gravy platter and it was Extremely delicious! The biscuits are made from scratch and you can sure tell the difference!! After our meal, I got a Long John to go. It was one of the best donuts I've ever eaten! Very very fresh! Cathy is the cook there & she does a great job! She actually brings the food out to you after she cooks it! I am so glad that we gave doughnut Cupboard a try! It is our new favorite place...
Read moreDisappointing. Got my call in order completely wrong. Called them to rectify and instead of saying bring them back and we will have your correct order tomorrow (as they had sold out of what I actually wanted), gne lady just argued with me about how I told her wrong and she knows what she was told over the phone and what she put in the box. Like I don't know the difference between a cinnamon twist and a cinnamon roll. Mind you im pretty sure they charge more for the rolls than the donuts so I left spending almost 15 bucks for a half dozen donuts and they wanted me to come back the next day to rectify. No refunds offered. Yes, I should have looked at my order immediately but I didnt; i trusted them and I paid the price. I have no plans to return; despite how good...
